Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan are identified to be great partners in real life but it may not be any soon that the viewers will get to see the duo share screen space. Ranbir has said that he was not dying to do a movie with Imran. Ranbir who was promoting his movie Rocket Singh said this on being quizzed about his views on blend with Imran.

Ranbir said “I share a great amity with Imran Khan and we stick together whenever we can, but as far as the matter of working together is concerned, I’m not dying to do a film with Imran Khan. Our closeness has its own value for me and professionally we have no such plans to feature together in a film at this moment.”

The answer which was quite straight onward raised many eyebrows. The two heartthrobs are known to hang out together quite often and have hosted the Filmfare Awards 2009. It remains to be seen how Imran reacts to Ranbir’s statement.

Imran Khan has no time for Abbas

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is Imran Khan’s only hit film to date and the only film in which his performance was appreciated. Yet, he had no dates to do a cameo in director Abbas Tyrewala’s 1-800-Love, which is why it was scrapped altogether. The cameo was spun around a story. At the end of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Imran and Genelia get married and Jiggy (Nirav Mehta) is the only one who is single at the end of the film. He migrates to London and gets engaged over there, so Genelia and Imran make an appearance at his engagement party. It would have been a continuation from JTYJN.

Abbas wanted to do this as a tribute to Karan Johar’s cinema. After Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Rani had a cameo in K3; both Kajol and Rani appeared in Kal Ho Naa Ho; and Kajol appeared in a song in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. The cameo didn’t materialize because, at the time, Imran was busy shooting for Aamir Khan’s production Delhi Belly, and it was impossible for him to fly to London for a few days, even though Abbas was really keen and Imran Khan felt the same way. So, they cancelled the cameo sequence altogether.

Abbas said, ‘Yes, we wanted to incorporate a cameo with the members of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, but Imran didn’t have dates and it didn’t work out. There is no problem between Imran and me. We like each other just as much, and I hope we work together later.’1-800-Love stars John Abraham and marks the Bollywood debut of Abbas’s wife Pakhi Tyrewala. It will release in mid-2010.

Imran Khan takes a cue from Ranbir

After the heartbreaking failure of Kidnap and Luck – it was as if somebody had kidnapped his luck – Imran Khan has finally decided to take charge of his career. According to sources, instead of ‘different’ films, Imran will now stick to commercial films. The inspiration for this new strategy is good friend-cum-profession rival Ranbir Kapoor.

Imran, we hear, wants to do romantic comedies with popular heroines and famous banners. He recently turned down Dibakar Banerjee’s Abhay Deol- starrer since that was experimental cinema.Kunal Kohli also offered him a film but since the director was a newbie – Danish Khan – Imran refused.

He is currently is shooting for Karan Johar’s I Hate Love Stories with Sonam Kapoor. The boy wants it to release before his experimental venture Delhi Belly produced by uncle Aamir Khan.

Imran, Benazir were Romantically involved: Book

Author of a new biography of Imran Khan claims that the cricketer-turned-politician was romantically involved with late former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto when both of them studied together at Oxford University.

In his book, Christopher Sandford writes that Bhutto became infatuated with Khan, and the pair enjoyed a "close" and possibly "sexual" relationship.

The author has also alleged that Khan's mother even tried to organise an arranged marriage between the pair, but to no avail.

It was believed that Khan and Bhutto had always been at loggerheads, both politically and personally.

In fact, Khan openly criticised the former Prime Minister just days before her death.

But Sandford, who interviewed both Khan and his ex-wife Jemima for the book, claimed that a source told him that Bhutto was 21, and in her second year of reading politics at Lady Margaret Hall, when she became close to Khan in 1975.

The source also revealed that she had been "visibly impressed" by Khan, and might even have been the first to call him the "Lion of Lahore".

"In any event, it seems fairly clear that, for at least a month or two, the couple were close. There was a lot of giggling and blushing whenever they appeared together in public," the Telegraoh quoted Sandford as having told the Daily Mail.

He added: "It also seems fair to say that the relationship was "sexual", in the sense that it could only have existed between a man and a woman. The reason some supposed it went further was because, to quote one Oxford friend: ''Imran slept with everyone.''

However, the former Pakistan cricket captain has rebuffed these claims, saying that he never had a sexual relationship with Bhutto.

Although he agreed to having been interviewed for the book, but claimed to have not read it as yet.

"Yes, I was interviewed, but I know nothing about the rest of what has been written. So it is not official," he told the Daily Mail.

"It is absolute nonsense about any sexual relationship or my mother and an arranged marriage. We were friends - that's all," he added.

Imran Khan`s `Luck` promises Death-defying Stunts

He became popular ight after his hit debut, but his last film `Kidnap` didn`t do him much good. Now Bollywood`s latest heartthrob Imran Khan is hoping to hit the bull`s eye with the edge-of-the-seat thriller "Luck", which releases Friday.

The film is important for not only Imran but also director Soham Shah and its debutante leading lady Shruthi Haasan.

Shah, who disappeared after his 2004 directorial debut 'Kaal' was panned by the critics, is back to prove his mettle with "Luck". It is also the launch pad of Tamil thespian Kamal Haasan`s daughter Shruthi. In short, a lot is riding on the movie.

Packed with death-defying stunts, "Luck" is being promoted as an adrenaline-pumping, edge-of-the-seat thriller.

It revolves around mafia don Musa (Sanjay Dutt) whose only ambition in life is to revolutionise the betting industry. For him life is a gamble, and what better way to manipulate the odds than play with those with luck on their side.

The gripping saga has a host of characters from different parts of the world, each with Lady Luck in their favour. With millions at stake, how far each of them go in courting danger and deceit is what will lead the narrative to its climax.

The audiences can look forward to some daredevilry by Imran - he has gone underwater with sharks and has jumped from a helicopter on to a burning train.

In fact, while shooting one of the stunts, Imran injured himself, but he is unfazed.

"Shooting an action film can lead to plenty of injuries. The film required a lot of action stunts, jumping, running, kicking, etc. I got to do a variety of stunts. There was an underwater sequence where we had to shoot with sharks and a cage. For that we were trained in scuba diving. Then there was another one where I had to jump on to a speeding train that was on fire and fight on the train - those were exciting," Imran said.

Shah seems to be fascinated with rugged terrains - if he shot his horror thriller "Kaal" in the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, he went to Namibia to shoot "Luck" and the final output is said to be a visual delight.

Composer siblings Salim and Sulaiman Merchant have churned out good music for "Luck" and its soundtrack has managed to impress with powerful, hip and edgy numbers. One of the numbers "Aazma", sung by Shruthi, is already topping the charts.

Imran braves downpour to appear on TV show to Promote Luck

Though Imran Khan did not show an interest in promoting Luck with co-star Sanjay Dutt on 10 Ka Dum, he had no qualms about appearing on another TV show with Ravi Kissen, who also features in the action flick.
Despite the downpour on Tuesday, Aamir Khan's nephew made his way to the Famous Studios at Mahalaxmi from his Bandra home to shoot for Sa Re Ga Ma Li'l Champs.Singing along

It is learnt that the actor rendered the Mera Joota Hai Japani track on the reality show. He even requested his favourite song Ghazab Ka Hai Din from his mamujaan's film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to be sung by Udit Narayan, who was the celebrity judge for the episode. Alka Yagnik who is on the show's jury along with Abhijeet crooned with Udit.

Won't make a difference

Says a source, "When Dutt shot for 10 Ka Dum earlier this month, Imran was requested to accompany him on Salman Khan's show. But the Jaane Tu actor expressed his reservations. He said that appearing in a TV programme would not make a big difference to the film's publicity. Following his snub, Dutt then shot the episode with Jackie Shroff, who is also part of the cast.

But Imran had a change of mind when he arrived from London on July 11. Though he had gone to visit his grandmother there, he even did media interactions for Soham Shah's flick.

Adds the source, "To everyone's surprise he agreed to appear on L'il Champs with Ravi Kissen to promote Luck."

B-Town buzz is that Imran didn't want to appear with Dutt as they don't exactly share warm vibes. The youngster's overzealous involvement in the shooting process, has turned off Dutt who prefers a hassle-free working environment.

Imran Burnt his lashes, skin while doing 'Luck' stunts

From going underwater with sharks to jumping from a helicopter on to a burning train, Imran Khan has done it all in his forthcoming film 'Luck'. But he had his share of injuries for showing such daredevilry in the action flick.
'Shooting an action film can lead to plenty of injuries. A muscle pull, certain bruises are quite usual. In 'Luck', I sustained an injury while shooting the train scene. When the train was on fire, the flames went up a little too high and my eyelashes and the skin under my eyes got burnt,' Imran told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
Imran had to then cover up the burnt skin with an extra layer of make-up for two weeks while he let the eyelashes be as he feels 'people don't tend to notice them often'.
While his daredevilry in 'Luck' has been the talk of the town lately, the young actor reveals he had to use a body double for an aerial stunt in the movie directed by Soham Shah.
'There was one scene in the film where I have a body double. It required me to jump with a parachute around 1,000-1,200 feet off a helicopter and I didn't know how to skydive. Though I did jump off the helicopter myself with a harness, the real stunt in the air has been performed by my body double,' he said.
Apart from this particular scene, Imran has performed all the stunts in the action thriller himself with the assistance of popular stunt director Allan Amin.
The 26-year-old has even jumped off an airplane on to a train on fire and went underwater for a scene with deadly sharks.
'The film required a lot of action stunts, jumping, running, kicking, etc. I got to do a variety of stunts.
'There was an underwater sequence where we had to shoot with sharks and a cage. For that we were trained in scuba diving. Then there was another one where I had to jump on to a speeding train that was on fire and fight on the train - those were exciting,' Imran said.
On the insistence of the director, Imran and other actors of the film, including Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Ravi Kissen and debutante Shruti Haasan, underwent a one-week theory and practical course in scuba diving in Durban, South Africa, he revealed.
'Soham was very particular about one thing - he wanted each of the actors to perform his or her stunts and so we trained in scuba diving for the underwater scene. It was a strenuous exercise. We used to spend six to eight hours in the water in the mornings, then go for theory classes and then back into the water.
'But it feels great to be a certified scuba diver now,' said Imran, who had subscribed to a three-day beginner's course in scuba diving for his earlier film 'Kidnap'.
Despite the danger involved, Imran agreed to do the stunts on his own.
'Allan has a great fondness for me and he would want my inputs on it (the stunts) every time. While deciding upon a sequence, he would discuss it with me and ask me if I can do it or not and I would just say - 'Yeah, I can do this'. So in a way, we designed the stunts together,' he said.

Imran Khan Preppy Style for MW Shoot

Ready on the dot at 9:30 am for the MW shoot, Imran Khan is checking his reflection in the mirror. Brows raised in concentrations, he appraises his look for the first shot du jour. The stylist has picked a layered T-shirt to go with a pair of white slim fit jeans and worn with pair of black and white ankle length sneakers. “Let’s rock ‘n’ roll!” says Khan when he is finally satisfied with the look after a fair bit of tweaking. His involement with his look is evident as the shoot progresses through the day.Trying to find a solution to an errant cuff like a consummate sartorialist, he quips, “Why do not we fold the sleeves in the next shot? I think it will look better that way”.About six hours later, the shot was cover in the living room of Khan’s two storied Pali Hill bungalow. A large black and white poster of a brooding James Dean takes up most of the space on a wall.Sitting almost directly below it, Khan could very well be Dean’s doppelganger with his relaxed, unfussy attitude coupled with an intense share that belies his 26 years. But yet there is something intrinsically youthful about the entire package that is Imran Khan.
Dressed in a casual gree T-shirt and fitted True Religion jeans teamed with flip flops, Khan exudes a stylishly preppy persona all hidden in the grab of someone who really does not confirm to any fashion dikats.

Imran Khan jumps off a Plane

Bollywood's celebrity action director Allan Amin made actor Imran Khan jump off a plane onto a moving train in the forthcoming movie Luck.

"In Luck, Imran would be seen jumping from an airplane onto a moving train. It was a brave scene and was shot in Bangkok," Amin said.

Imran, who won many hearts with his debut Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Ya, said it was an important scene, but refused to divulge any details about it.

"It is a major scene in the film and we will most probably use it for the promotion of the film. It will be a major part of the film's publicity campaign so I don't want to reveal much about the scene," said Imran.

The scene might bear resemblance to Anil Kapoor's famous jump in the 1993 movie Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja as well as Hrithik Roshan's anti-gravity stunt in Dhoom 2 (2006).

Apart from this particular act in Luck, the action director has also choreographed an underwater action scene set in South Africa with Imran and his leading lady Shruti Haasan - the two will be seen swimming with sharks.

Sanjay Dutt, who is also a part of the Soham Shah directed project, will be seen in a spectacular stunt in which he is supposed to run towards fast moving trains - something we saw Aamir Khan doing in Ghulam.

Amin has been in the film industry for the last 25 years and says more actors now prefer to do their own stunts instead of asking for a body double.

"A lot of actors today want to do their stunts for the excitement. Not only the younger lot, even experienced actors like Amitabh Bachchan likes to do stunts on their own. I made Amitabh do one in Aks where he had to jump through a waterfall," said Amin, who has directed stunts in actioners like Dhoom, Dus, Kaal and Main Hoon Na.

In 2005, he got the Filmfare Award for directing action sequences in Mission Kashmir, which had Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik in lead roles.

Amin is now excited about being a judge on reality show for MTV, where he has to select, train and judge 10 passionate bikers to perform stunts.

"The channel approached me for the show and after being in the industry for so long, I thought this would be something new for me and something very close to my heart - so I agreed. I will be more than happy to teach young kids how to do stunts properly without harming themselves in any way," he said.

"A lot of youngsters have a passion for bikes and related stunts, but they should first be brave and positive to be able to carry off a stunt well. And then it is my job to make the stunt spectacular and safe," Amin added.
