Ranbir Kapoor sketched Aishwarya Rai

What can she do if men of all ages locate her so gorgeous? Aishwarya Rai though married to Abhishek Bachchan has many male admirers in Bollywood and one such man is the hunk, Ranbir Kapoor. Lately at the Paa opening, Abhishek came to know about this, Ranbir was seen catching up with Aishwarya Rai and both the stars nonstop talking to each other until Abhishek came and interrupted them.As soon as he joined them, Aishwarya Rai told him a secret about Ranbir and that was an incident that happened almost a decade ago.

At that time, Ash was working with Rishi Kapoor in his directorial debut Aa Ab Laut Chalein and a young Ranbir who was keen to learn film making, was assisting his father. There was one instance when Rishi Kapoor and Ash were held in a grave debate over a shot, Ranbir, who was seated next to them, was busy making a sketch.

But before Ranbir could finish his sketch, his dad rapidly took the notepad from him to discover that he was sketching the beautiful Aishwarya Rai. After listening to this anecdote, Abhishek was quite ‘amused’, whilst the sharmila Ranbir couldn’t stop ‘blushing’.

Ranbir and Rishi to come together for film

Ranbir and Rishi Kapoor will only be seen together in a movie that Ranbir will direct late next year. Not only does the young actor want to create roles that would do justice to both his father and him, Ranbir also needs to ensure that the pair is presented in the best way possible. Incongruously, the two almost came together in roles that cast them in mutual conflict. If all had gone well, Rishi and Ranbir Kapoor would have come together for the first time in Shimit Amin’s Rocket Singh, though not as father and son.

Everyone at Yash Raj movies was keen that Rishi play Ranbir’s scheming boss.Reveals a source, “The Yash Raj side was all for casting Rishi as Ranbir’s boss. Only Adi thought audiences would not accept Rishi Kapoor as a negative boss to his own son. We had to relent.”Kapoor Sr confirms, “I was told everyone at Yash Raj wanted me to play the role.

They finally decided otherwise.” Also, Rishi is all praise for the actor who replaces him in the film. “Manish is the finding of the year.”

Ranbir Kapoor not dying for a movie with Imran Khan

Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan are identified to be great partners in real life but it may not be any soon that the viewers will get to see the duo share screen space. Ranbir has said that he was not dying to do a movie with Imran. Ranbir who was promoting his movie Rocket Singh said this on being quizzed about his views on blend with Imran.

Ranbir said “I share a great amity with Imran Khan and we stick together whenever we can, but as far as the matter of working together is concerned, I’m not dying to do a film with Imran Khan. Our closeness has its own value for me and professionally we have no such plans to feature together in a film at this moment.”

The answer which was quite straight onward raised many eyebrows. The two heartthrobs are known to hang out together quite often and have hosted the Filmfare Awards 2009. It remains to be seen how Imran reacts to Ranbir’s statement.

Deepika Padukone hides Ranbir Kapoor’s tattoo

When love was in the air, Deepika Padukone inked Ranbir Kapoor’s tattoo on her backside. At present that her issue with Ranbir died down, her tattoo has been creating nuisance. Deepika is shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s periodic film ‘Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se’ in Goa and her tattoo is quite evident. When camera focuses her back, Ranbir’s tattoo is making main focus.

As a outcome, Deepika had to hide the RK tattoo. The film revolves around the Chittagong rising in the pre liberty days and Deepika needs to tie her hair in a bun for a fight sequence. Deepika’s tattoo usually remains hidden behind her locks but when she tied her hair in a bun, it was quite revealing. Ashutosh again sent her to the dressing room to style her hair in a different way.

The source adds, “It was embarrassing for Deepika when Ashu sent her back to the dressing room. She was flustered initially but then, she came out of her vanity van with a different hairdo that covered the tattoo and completed the sequence.”In the film, Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead hero.

Ranbir Kapoor in awe of Shahrukh Khan

The newest stud in Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, is merely four films old, but he is already being compared to the Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.Well this comparison comes easy, as Ranbir does romantic scene with as much ease as the suave Shahrukh Khan, who is a veteran in enacting romantic scenes.

When we asked Ranbir about this, he said, “I think comparing me with Shahrukh Khan would be like insulting him. Till now, I have done only 3 films, which are by no ways a parameter to compare me with him. In my last film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ I have played a romantic character, where in ‘Rocket Singh –Salesman of the year’ there is romance, but on a different level.”

Well however hard Ranbir might try to deny, the fact remains that people like him in romantic roles, as he sure is a charmer! No doubt Ranbir must be happy to be compared with Shahrukh, after all it is SRK who is the benchmark of success in Bollywood these days.

Ranbir Kapoor’s beard for Rocket Singh confuses a girl

Ranbir Kapoor had a strange experience recently when he was out dining with his good friend, Imran Khan. He hadn’t shaved off the beard he had grown for Shimit Amin’s Rocket Singh –Salesman of the Year. And that beard rendered him unrecognizable…at least for a 16-year-old girl who was at the restaurant. Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan were eating at the restaurant when the teenaged girl came in with a friend.

A little while later, she noticed Imran. She got up, leaving her food, and rushed to Ranbir and Imran’s table. Before they knew it, the girl had whipped out her cell phone and asked Ranbir, whom she apparently did not recognize, to click pictures of hers with Imran. Ranbir obliged and she then went away after pictures of hers with Imran had been taken.

When she went back to the table, her friend told her that Imran was with Ranbir. The girl went back to the table where the young actors were seated. She apologized to Ranbir and then asked Imran to click pictures of hers with Ranbir.Imran confirmed the incident and added that they couldn’t stop laughing about it later.

Will Deepika get rid of her Ranbir tattoo?

Juicy Mausi is rather amused by this one. There was a time when the presence or absence of an engagement ring on a star’s finger made all the news. Now, it’s tattoos which decide whether a star couple is dating or not.And so it happened at an event that Deepika Padukone, who is fresh from her break-up with hot Ranbir Kapoor, was asked uncomfortable questions by the media – the best one being what she’s gonna do with the famous ‘RK’ tattoo on her nape.

Already a little awkward with break-up questions, Deepika chose to remain silent. After all, silence is golden. But not for the journos. They persisted with merciless questions, and the actress understandably snapped back. Poor Deepika! Methinks she should chill out a bit, and do what her Love Aaj Kal character did – have a break-up party! That should heal some wounds.

Ranbir Kapoor disagrees with Shazahn on kiss

We have reported not long ago that Ranbir Kapoor and Shazahn Padamsee have a lip-locking scene in their upcoming release Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year. It was not irresponsible reporting because it came from Shazahn’s own mouth. Now, Ranbir has denied the kissing scene.

Reacting to debutante Shazahn’s revelation that there is a kissing sequence in Rocket Singh, Ranbir said that it is not a mouth-to-mouth kiss but just a ‘cheat kiss’. He claimed that the scene was shot in such a way that it looked as though they were kissing. This is in complete contrast to Shazahn’s claim that her co-star made her very comfortable while shooting that particular shot.

Now, the big question is – did Ranbir really kissed Shazahn in the film? you will come to know the truth when this film directed by Shimit Amin release this Friday, 11th December.

Ranbir who will be seen on the cover of the magazine shirtless on a beach, said that he believes in the old adage “handsome is what handsome does”.”When I was growing up, my mom told me handsome is what handsome does.So Amitabh Bachchan is sexy to me in all his films, Shahrukh is sexy in DDLJ and Aamir is sexy in Rang De Basanti,” said Ranbir.

The Wake Up Sid actor said that the best part about the title is that he is now in the same league as Johnny Depp, who won the title internationally this year. “I feel like I’m Johnny Depp,” said the actor adding, “I’ve had a good year so I attribute winning this title to those things.”

Ranbir Kapoor rejects role in Sarkar 3

We can’t really blame Ranbir Kapoor for rejecting an offer from Ram Gopal Varma to star in the third installment of Sarkar, considering the recent track record of the director. RGV had offered Ranbir Kapoor the role of Kay Kay’s son in Sarkar 3. The character was to take over as the true heir of the Subhash Nagre empire. But Ranbir, who has scored back to back hits with ‘Wake up Sid’ and ‘Ajab Prem’ showed absolutely no interest in the film and showed RGV the door. Goes without saying, RGV is fuming at the moment, shocked at the fact that Ranbir refused a role opposite Amitabh Bachchan.Ranbir’s reasons were simple, he did not want to do another commercial movie. Moreover, his role in Prakash Jha’s film ‘Rajneeti’ is quite similar to the one etched out for Sarkar 3.

Also, Ranbir was hesitant to join the project seeing Sarkar Raj did not do too well with the critics and even at the Box Office. He also has a packed schedule, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ with Priyanka Choora is ready for shooting and he also has to promote ‘Rocket Singh’ as well as ‘Rajneeti’.“Ramu is very upset with Ranbir. Ranbir was best suited to play Kay Kay Menon`s son in ‘Sarkar 3’, which would have seen Amitabh coaching his grandson to take over the powerful Subhash Nagre empire.Ramu was really impressed by Ranbir and approached him with the offer, but Ranbir wasn`t too excited about the film. In fact, he flatly refused to do it,” says a source.“This refusal has not gone down well with Ramu. He has been sulking.

Ramu could not believe Ranbir wouldn`t be keen to be part of ‘Sarkar 3’ and act with Amitabh Bachchan. Ranbir, however, seems to have his reasons — he wants to experiment with roles and since he is already doing Prakash Jha`s ‘Rajneeti’, another political thriller, he didn`t want to do the same genre.Even his proposed role in ‘Sarkar 3’ was similar to the one he`s doing in ‘Rajneeti’ — playing heir to a great political legacy. Therefore he refused the RGV movie,” adds the source.Ram Gopal Varma’s stance in the industry as slackened, just take a look at the the string of stinkers he has made over the past three years – Naach, Shiva, Nishabd, Aag, Go, Darling, Contract, Phoonk and Agyaat.

And he is already making the sequels to the latter two horror movies. RGV would have to make a bonafide hit if he wants to rope in serious talent.

Ranbir Kapoor is throwing his weight around

Aamir Khan is famous for experimenting with his looks. He had developed eight-pack abs for Ghajini and then become leaner for the to-bereleased 3 Idiots. But it seems he is not the only one who is willing to take such risks. An increasing number of actors in Bollywood seem to be realising that it helps to get into the skin of the character. The latest example is Ranvir Shorey. Ranvir has gained a lot of weight for his new release, which is aptly titled Fatso.

(Abhishek Bachchan had also turned a fatso for the movie, Guru) “I had to put on more than 15 kilos,” says Ranvir. Fatso is based on five friends. On his role, he elaborates: “I play one of the friends. My character is very awkward and shy because of his weight. His friends love playing tricks on him but he is also adored a lot.” Was it hard putting on so much weight? “The character I play looks fatter. So, even after gaining so much weight, I had to put on a lot of makeup and resort to padding. But the problem is, no padding can be done on the face and the neck and hence, I had to put on around 15 kg,” Ranvir explains.

But the effort has paid off.Fatso was recently showcased at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York and Ranvir’s role was appreciated. The actor says: “The movie has been received well. It was the opening film of the festival, the centre piece.” Ranvir is in a mood to celebrate, but he can’t for obvious reasons. His next role is not that of a fatso.

Katrina is phenomenal;;Ranbir Kapoor

With back to back successes of his last two ventures WAKE UP SID and AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI Ranbir Kapoor is certainly on a high, but the actor says he has no time to pause and enjoy the success as of now.

"I am in a constant rush and hope that days were longer so that I could work harder and achieve success faster. I have really waited for 24 years to be where I am today. I am a very hungry actor," he states.

Ranbir says he is now looking forward to Prakash Jha's RAJNEETI, because this is the first time that Ranbir will get to play a character, which has shades of grey. "RAJNEETI is my first mature role. It is a dark political thriller and also my first character with grey shades," he reveals.

Ranbir says working with a director like Prakash Jha was worth the experience. "It was really great to work with Prakash Jha. He is one of the great directors in the industry and has contributed a lot to Indian Cinema. I got to learn a lot from the director."

After AJAB PREM KI GHAZAB KAHANI, Ranbir has once again teamed up with Katrina Kaif in the movie. "Katrina is phenomenal. She is fun to work with and so professional not only that she works as team so it makes easier for other actors to work with her. From not knowing the language to becoming one of the biggest stars, she has achieved a lot. I have tremendous respect for her as an artiste," says Ranbir.

Apart from RAJNEETI the actor is now looking forward to ROCKET SINGH: SALESMAN OF THE YEAR, where he plays a middle class Sardar. He has also grown a beard to shoot for the film. "ROCKET SINGH is about a real sardar. He has no similarity with our filmi sardar. It's an underdog story. My character is a middle-class guy, who wants to be a salesman, it is his story. I wanted to look real in the character, hence I have grown a beard in the movie" he informs.

For now Ranbir says he is happy with the response he is getting from his fans. "I am working really hard and I am concentrating on my career. My priority is the films that I am doing now," he concludes.

Ranbir is a true blue Kapoor: Kareena Kapoor

Yesteryear actor Randhir Kapoor has been in the news for the past one year, thanks to his plans of reviving the half-a-century-old family banner, RK Films. But his daughter, actress Kareena Kapoor, would like to see her cousin, actor Ranbir, to “take charge” of RK Films.

“I’d like Ranbir to take the RK legacy forward. The girls and the Kapoor women have done their bit and made the family proud. Ranbir is also doing that but it’d be fantastic to see him take charge of the family banner and take it to the heights that dadaji (Raj Kapoor) and bade dadaji (Prithviraj Kapoor) took it to. I’m sure he’ll deliver. After all, he’s a true blue Kapoor,” says Kareena.

The Kapoor girl clarifies that her father is not planning any movie with her under the banner at the moment. “I wish dad made a film but right now, there is no movement on that,” she smiles. Would she act in the movie if it ever gets made? “It’s my home banner. It’s part of my identity. It’s part of who Karisma, Ranbir and I are. If dad ever makes his film under the RK banner, I would definitely want to be part of it in any which way possible,” she replies.

Kareena also feels that had her grandfather Raj Kapoor been alive, he’d have been proud of her work. “He would’ve patted my back. And why just me? He would have been proud of Karisma and Ranbir, too. It’s for the first time that an entire generation of a film family has been so successful.”

Imran Khan takes a cue from Ranbir

After the heartbreaking failure of Kidnap and Luck – it was as if somebody had kidnapped his luck – Imran Khan has finally decided to take charge of his career. According to sources, instead of ‘different’ films, Imran will now stick to commercial films. The inspiration for this new strategy is good friend-cum-profession rival Ranbir Kapoor.

Imran, we hear, wants to do romantic comedies with popular heroines and famous banners. He recently turned down Dibakar Banerjee’s Abhay Deol- starrer since that was experimental cinema.Kunal Kohli also offered him a film but since the director was a newbie – Danish Khan – Imran refused.

He is currently is shooting for Karan Johar’s I Hate Love Stories with Sonam Kapoor. The boy wants it to release before his experimental venture Delhi Belly produced by uncle Aamir Khan.
