Neha Dhupia and Mugdha Godse for Shave India Movement

Bollywood actresses, Neha Dhupia and Mugdha Godse are united for one reason, and that is Shave India Movement.

Gillette Mach 3 Shave India Movement creates Limca Record and also attempts to break Guinness world record with 1858 men gathered at Mumbai’s Chitrakud grounds to shave and to crate India’s first world-record for most number of men shaved in a day in the same place.

This event was the perfect platform for Neha and Mugdha to re-iterate their support for the clean-shaven, well-groomed man.

Mugdha gets a plastic smile

Mugdh whose latest release Jail hasn’t created much of a buzz at the BO, has managed to turn attention towards her anyways with a rumored lip job. After a successful acting debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, the actress who received a lot of critical appreciation for her role as the street-smart model Janice hasn’t been able to prove her acting prowess as of yet. She was barely visible in her second release All The Best, then again a multi-starrer starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan and Bipasha Basu.

Mugdha, who was cast alongside Fardeen in the movie, hardly had any screen-time. The same goes for her latest release Jail, where she wasn’t used to her potential again.A source close to the actress reveals, “She’s very upset with how she’s been portrayed in her recent flicks and needs all the attention whatsoever, so that she doesn’t get sidelined into a certain category. She’s choosing her projects well and is making sure that she does something different all the time.She wants to break away from her simple girl image in Jail and wants to bring that sexy image back from her Fashion days.

As far as the lip job goes, Mugdha has a beautiful and natural pout, but it’s a common thing among celebrities to get themselves enhanced once in a while.

1st Look: Neil-Mugdha in Jail

Produced by Percept Picture Company and Bhandarkar Entertainment, Jail is scheduled to storm the
cinema halls on November 6, 2009. National Award-winner Madhur Bhandarkar directs it. The film stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mugdha Godse and Manoj Bajpayee. The music is by Shamir Tandon and Sharib-Toshi.

Mugdha Godse gets a taste of Horror

Mugdha Godse is in Mauritius shooting for a yet untitled horror film, directed by debutant Rajiv Virani, who earlier made ad films. The movie's cast includes Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade.

Dealing with the supernatural

After Fashion, she shot for Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail and Rohit Shetty's All The Best. "Each of my films had a distinct genre. Jail is hardcore slice of life while All The Best is a comedy. This project deals with something else the supernatural. The horror element is interwoven into the story."
The actress adds, "Now I am ready to scare the living daylights of people. I have several get-ups in the film with several variations. Moreover, I am trying to be as twisted as possible for my character!"

My horror flick picks

Mugdha digs horror flicks and among the Hindi films she loves are yesteryear flicks like Vikas Desai and Aruna Raje's Gehrayee ("Padmini Kolhapure was brilliant in it") and Ramgopal Varma's Raat. Among the Hollywood flicks, her pick includes The Ring 2, Psycho and 1408.

"When I would be with friends and order for DVDs it would all be horror flicks. There is something unique about supernatural films and now I am part of it!

The actress will be in the island country for a month and will fly down to Mumbai for a few days for the dubbing of Jail.

The horror film is produced by Vinay Choksi and Sanjay Ahluwalia. It is slated to have a start-to-finish schedule in Mauritius.

Bipasha Basu Insults Mugdha Godse

Bollywood hottie Bipasha Basu and her co-actress Mugdha Godse, who are part of the upcoming Rohit Shetty film ALL THE BEST, seem to have developed a new hatred for each other.

The two actors reportedly hate each other. The sour chemistry between the two had become a much talked about affair on the film sets. All this happened because both the ladies wanted to get more attention in the film than the other.

Priyanka comes to Mugdha Godse Rescue on a bad hair day

Bad hair days are a star's worst nightmare. And when Mugdha Godse had to encounter one recently, it was, unexpectedly, Fashion co-star Priyanka Chopra who came to her rescue!

It is learnt that Mugdha was in a fix before the recently held film awards show due to a goof-up from the organisers' end. The model-turned-actress was left wondering how she would step out of the hotel room for the big night. Her assigned hairstylist just didn't turn up.Not knowing what to do, Mugdha called up PC to bail her out at the spur of the moment! Chopra readily agreed to help her and told her to come over to her room even though she was getting ready for the event.

Says a source, "Mugdha has no qualms about turning to Priyanka, who was the big star of Fashion and received all the accolades. There are no ego issues here. She has still kept in touch with her and respects her friendship.
When it came to a crisis, all that Mugdha had to do was dial PC to find a way out of the mess."

Hairstylist Mehera who was attending to PC styled Mugdha's coiffure as well. As there was not much time on hand, she suggested Mugdha keep her hair loose with a simple twist that could go well with her gown.

Mugdha's spokesperson confirms, "The incident did occur and luckily for her Priyanka Chopra came to her rescue."

Ajay Devgan advises Mugdha Godse to Wear a stone amulet

Ajay Devgan has had Mugdha Godse 'stoned'. The model-turned-actress is currently shooting in Goa for his film All The Best. Nursing a road accident injury that causes pain in the back and neck, Mugdha has started wearing a stone amulet on her arm like Devgan.It is learnt that the actor-producer suggested B-Town's stone specialist Dr Dilip Kumar to the newbie.
Says a unit source, "The doctor has been spotted on the sets in Goa. He's been advising her not only about the right stones to wear but has also been providing her acupressure treatment. The Fashion actress began wearing the amulet some days ago."

For relief from pain

Mugdha met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on May 5. She says, "Due to the impact, I still experience pain and discomfort. I was told to consult Dr Dilip Kumar for relief from pain. Initially, I did acupressure therapy and now I have begun wearing the amulet."

She adds, "Whenever I wear it, there is relief. In fact, as soon as I remove it, there is a distinct discomfort. Stone therapy is a science, several people wear rings with different stones, so why not an amulet made of stones?"

In fact, director Rohit Shetty has included the amulet as part of her All The Best character's accessories. "So that I don't have to remove it. My persona is quite colourful in the film and it gels with it. Only if the scene demands, I remove it and keep it my pocket for those moments."

Mugdha, who also features in Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail, feels that as the amulet looks trendy, it goes well with whatever she wears.
