Soha Ali Khan finds Irfan Pathan charming

Soha Ali Khan is very unlike her famous brother Saif Ali Khan except for their romantic instinct. Saif was earlier married to Amrita Singh and is currently going steady with Kareena Kapoor. But Soha has been keeping low as far as her love life is concerned though she is romantic at heart. However, she has surprised everyone this time around by revealing that Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan is charming.

Soha seems to have a soft corner for cricketers. She revealed not long ago that she had a crush on Rahul Dravid once. So, it didn’t come as a surprise when she expressed her admiration for Irfan Pathan, who he met on her game show recently. She however said that she has never thought of marrying a cricketer.

She is currently busy promoting her film Tum Mile, which is releasing tomorrow, 13th November. She acts with serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in the film.

Soha Ali Khan-Sharmila on big screen!

Those who had been waiting to see the mother-daughter duo on the big screen for a long long time will be happy to see Soha and Sharmila Tagore finally featuring in debutante director Sangeeta Dutta'a film Life Goes On.

The film will be screened at the 11th Mumbai Film Festival, starting from Oct 29 to Nov 5.

Set in London, the film revolves around Sanjay (Girish Karnad), his deceased wife (Sharmila Tagore) and three daughters. His shattered life goes through more turmoil when Dia (played by Soha Ali Khan) the youngest daughter falls in love with a Muslim man.

Life Goes On has the shadow of Shakespeare's King Lear in contemporary style. It works functionally as a sub-text in the film as we see Sanjay and Dia within the contours of the mythical Lear and Cordelia.

Soha indulges in public display of affection with Kunal

On Tuesday night, at Salman's younger sister Arpita Khan's special preview of Wanted at Ketnav theatre, Soha Ali Khan turned up with beau Kunal Khemu. Nothing wrong with that but during the film, the couple indulged in a bit of PDA. And that didn't go down well with some of the other people present for the screening.

The special show was attended by Yuvraj Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and close friends of Arpita. Both Soha and Kunal are close friends of Arpita and were her guests at her Sallu bhaiyya's film trial.

Says an eye-witness, "Soha and Kunal came in holding hands and took up seats in the last row. Half an hour after half the lights dimmed, the couple began getting cosy with each other, distracting people sitting around them.

There was also some giggles emanating from near them, and this made people sitting ahead of them, turn around to see what the commotion was about." According to the eye-witness, during the interval, hostess Arpita requested the couple to take it down a notch, as people were getting disturbed.

But once the show began, the lovers went back to their antics. When asked about the incident, Arpita showed more interest in enquiring about the various ways to get the article dropped.

Then she said, "Let me talk to Soha and Kunal and let them know." Finally, she decided to give a clarification, "I was sitting with Soha and Kunal on the last row. No such incident took place at my trial. They both come from very respectable families and their privacy should be maintained as such. Such articles would cause a discomfort in our friendship."

Soha Ali Khan says, "I completely and vehemently deny it. It's a fabricated story. I'm a single professional and coming from the kind of family I do, I would never conduct myself in a public place like this.

There was absolutely no physical interaction between Kunal and me. In fact, a friend of mine, an entertainment lawyer, was sitting on my left. This kind of behaviour just doesn't go with my name or my family." Kunal Khemu remained unavailable for comment.

Sharmila Tagore, on shooting with Daughter Soha Ali Khan

Sharmila Tagore is just back in New Delhi after shooting in London with her daughter Soha for new director Sangeeta Dutta's Life Goes On.

This is the first time that the maa-beti will be seen together on screen. Though she enjoyed working in the film, both thoroughly missed the doyen of Bengali cinema Soumitra Chatterjee who was supposed to play the lead.More than me (I've worked with Soumitra), it was Soha who missed him. She kept saying, 'If I can't work with Satyajit Ray at least, I can work with his favourite actor. But then Soumitra fell ill. And so Girish Karnad was brought in."

'Ceased to be a mom'

Soha plays Sharmila's youngest daughter, who falls in love with a Muslim. Sharmila continues, "We have one or two important scenes together. One major sequence with her was never shot because of my visit to Cannes.

When I faced the camera with Soha, I ceased to be a mother. We were two actresses playing mother and daughter. The girls playing my two other daughters were from theatre, but Soha managed beautifully."

The film is about a man (Girish Karnad), his deceased wife (Tagore) and three daughters, "I play the dead wife. My scenes recur through flashbacks. It's a very nice subject. But there were compro- mises as it's a small-budget film."

Soha Ali Khan chooses to host game Show

Actress Soha Ali Khan is set to make her debut on the small screen as a game show host and says coming on television was an "obvious choice". The actress will host "Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo", a series of conceptualised games in a home-styled setting, starting on June 29 on Star Plus. "This show is different because I can interact directly with the participants, feel their nerves, give away prizes and make them happy. And TV was an obvious choice because of its wide audience reach," Soha told reporters here. On the show contestants will be allowed to team up with a relative or a friend to play a series of innovative games to win the grand prize - a fully furnished Godrej Brighter Home. Consumers can participate in the show by first purchasing any Godrej product and then sending an SMS giving details about the value and barcode number of the product.

Soha Ali Khan to host reality Show on TV?

It’s nothing short of irony that the so called ‘idiot box’ has become such a strong medium today. No wonder then practically the whole of Bollywood (with just a handful of exceptions) have jumped onto the television bandwagon.

After having the likes of none other than Big B, SRK, Salman, Govinda, Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar, it seems that its time for the petite Soha Ali Khan to jump to the small screen. According to some of the most reliable and dependable sources, Bollywood Hungama found out that Soha Ali Khan will be hosting a reality show that’s soon to be aired on Star Plus. This show is touted to be centering around a very unique concept of lifestyle and promises to be one-of-its-kind.

Our repeated attempts to contact Soha and the Star officials yielded no results. But, if the sources are to be believed, we are sure that Soha’s fans all over will be more than overwhelmed to see their ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ bloom on the TV scree
