Priyanka caught in Amrita’s outfit!

Priyanka Chopra was recently caught in Amrita Rao’s dress! No, that’s not quite it. She was caught wearing an outfit similar to one that Amrita wore some days ago. And what’s more –both dresses come from the same designer –Swapnil Shinde.Priyanka wore the outfit for a party on Friday. Meanwhile, Amrita had worn the same outfit on TV ten days ago. Priyanka is probably unaware of the goof-up.
Swapnil confirmed that the outfit that Priyanka was wearing was by him and that she had liked it a lot, as her stylist called him up to tell him that she was complimented for that dress a lot. He also added that Priyanka called him up asking him for an outfit and he had about three or four gold outfits ready. He confirmed that even Amrita’s outfit was by him. But he denies the outfits being the same. He simply states that the outfits have a similar design.
Now, we’re not so sure this is going to go down very well with Priyanka, even though she hasn’t commented on the issue.Amrita remarked that Priyanka probably was unaware that they both had the same outfit or even if she knew, it didn’t matter to her as she looks like a diva, no matter what’s she’s wearing.

Priyanka and Shahid are back together

It is true. If a couple gets back together after a break-up, the relationship is for keeps. And Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are just rediscovering the joys of being together after their split, and they are happier than ever. As reported earlier (’Shasha shuts out PC’; November 10, Hitlist), the couple went their separate ways last month.Soon after the split, the duo headed to Bangkok for film shoots. While PC was there for Sajid Nadiadwala’s next, Shahid was on call for a Yash Raj film. During their stay at the same hotel, they bumped into each other and realised that they could not do without each other.
Source close to the two reveals that Shahid, who’d initiated ‘the break’ realised that he’d made a mistake. He found that he still had feelings for Priyanka. He felt that he rushed into the decision and hadn’t taken the time to understand her better. He knew he wanted her back in his life but wasn’t too sure how she would react to him because he’d ‘dumped’ her when she believed all along that they were perfect for each other. Shahid befriended Chopra’s best friend and close confidante, Tammana Sharma, who played Cupid between them the second time around. The source says, “Shahid and Tammana have become good friends now. In fact, she was, in a way, responsible for getting the lovebirds back together.
Shahid was already in Bangkok shooting for a film, while PC reached there a week later. They were at different locations but got a chance to sit down and talk things out. They went out on two occasions including dining out.” Giving their relationship another chance has perked up PC who was quite depressed when things went downhill.”She is happy to have Shahid back in her life. They are very happy together.” Time to say, ‘touch wood’?

Priyanka Chopra kills her 'husbands'

She is selecting her films after a lot of consideration; Priyanka Chopra won’t make wrong moves. She is all set to play the wife of seven husbands in Vishal Bharadwaj’s next film.
As a tabloid reported, in the film Priyanka plays an Anglo-Indian woman who has seven husbands and eventually kills them all. The film is based on a short story by Ruskin Bond. “It’s Priyanka’s toughest role to date. Her character is extremely volatile. It will be an out-and-out thriller,” a source is quoted to have said.
In fact, Vishal who is repeating PC for the second film wants her to look simple, like the way she did in Kaminey. The movie is going to be Vishal’s first woman-centric film and no doubt he has given Priyanka a film that many actresses would love to grab without thinking twice.
Celebrated writer Ruskin Bond along with Vishal is writing the screenplay for the film. And as revealed by the tabloid, according to the movie’s yet-not-finalized script, PC will come up with ingenious ways of killing her seven husbands and “an overdose of viagra will bump one of her old husbands off.”
The film goes on the floors next year. Well, the tit-bits sound interesting; can’t wait for the full show!
Deepika Padukone replacing Priyanka Chopra

The latest buzz in industry circles is that Rakesh Roshan has plans to start filming the sequel to his desi super hero flick, Krrish by September 2010. Playing the title role, Hrithik Roshan will however not be romancing Priyanka Chopra in this one, our sources claims.Sources further reveal, “Roshan Sr. who will be directing the film apart from producing it, is considering Deepika Padukone to play the lead, although there has been no confirmation. While the first film in the series Koi Mil Gaya had Preity Zinta in the lead opposite Hrithik, Krrish featured Priyanka Chopra. There are no plans for her to return, so it remains to be seen who would step into the leading lady’s role.”
It is also believed that Roshan Sr. has had early discussions with the SFX team and a big crew of foreign technicians who worked on Krrish. They have been bouncing off ideas on where to take the character and how to develop it.?Letting us in the secret, our source further reveals that Rakesh has zeroed down on a plotline where Krrish battles his evil counterpart in the sequel. Apparently, Rakesh is keen on having Hrithik play a grey character ever since he saw his performance in Dhoom 2. Krrish will be seen saving the 7 wonders of the world, which makes a perfect foil to include extensive shots of diverse foreign locations.
Hrithik will also undergo vigorous physical training for the role. He has completed Kites, which is all set for release next year. He is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish with Aishwarya Bachchan.

Priyanka Chopra gets a roly-poly superstar for a Husband

Guess who is playing delicate darling Priyanka Chopra’s husband in her new film? Well, it’s none other than Malayalam cinema’s megastar Mohanlal Vishwanathan Nair. Interesting no? Well, latest news has it that that director Vishal Bharadwaj, whose creativity is at its peak post-‘Kaminey,’ is thinking so differently that his experimentations are turning out to be a shocker. The director has signed the bulky Malayalam star opposite dainty Priyanka in his new film, ‘Seven’.
‘Seven’ is Bhardwaj’s very ambitious project, in which Priyanka will have seven husbands. But Mohanlal as Priyanka’s husband is too hilarious to go unnoticed.
A reliable source from Bhardwaj’s office confirmed the news to a news daily. He said that the filmmaker had cast the Malayalam actor in such a role. And Bharadwaj had his share of woes in casting the actor as he spent two days in Kerala chasing the super-busy Mohanlal.
The chubby actor, who was also seen Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Company’ and ‘Aag’, has given his consent for the film. So, Priyanka has got one ‘huge’ husband already, now six more to go…

Shahid Kapoor calls its quits with Priyanka Chopra

The on and off relationship between Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra has come to an end. Shahid has taken the final call after realising Priyanka wasn’t his type of girl. The two stars has met in the sets of Kaminey last year and had fallen in love. Sources close to Priyanka have said that the actress who hasn’t been keeping well in the recent past is devastated by Shahid’s decision.
Priyanka is looking for peace and visited Ajmer Sharif last week with her friends who are rallying behind her.Shahid’s decision to part ways is being attributed to inherent differences in their nature. While Shahid is a introvert and reserved, Priyanka is extrovert and loves to party. Shahid also had problems with her fondness for alcohol.
The couple never publicly admitted to being together although they were too close to be just friends. Shahid has been finding it hard to be in a strong relationship ever since Kareena Kapoor dumped more than two years ago.

The Man Priyanka Chopra adores

Priyanka Chopra has thousands of fans, but who is the actress's all-time idol? The man she admires most is adored by millions across the globe as well... who else but superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
"Shah Rukh Khan is my idol and has always been. He has been a favourite actor of course, but I really look up to him also as a person. Looking at where he came from and how he became who he is today, I find it extremely fascinating, " Priyanka told in an interview.
"He started with theatre, did plays, got a break in TV - he turned from a regular college kid to a mega superstar... and all that completely on his own with no help from anybody in the film industry. I admire a lot about him and I think it's just fantastic, " said the actress who has bagged the youth award icon for entertainment.
In the past, Priyanka has teamed up with Shah Rukh for Farhan Akhtar's "Don" and did a cameo in a song with him in Farah Khan's "Om Shanti Om" and also in "Billu".
Priyanka and Hrithik Roshan bagged the youth icon awards in the entertainment field at the inaugural edition of the India Youth Icon Awards at an awards ceremony in Gurgaon Friday.
The actress is currently on cloud nine after getting rave reviews for essaying 12 roles in Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Rashee?", which also stars Hurman Baweja.
"It's been great feedback so far. People are enjoying the film...I had an author-backed role which included playing 12 different characters - very difficult to do. And it feels fantastic to be encouraged and be told that I pulled it off well, " she said.
The 27-year-old actor said she was extremely nervous before the film's release Friday.
"My biggest worry was - 'Oh God! Will I ever be able to pull this off or not?'. Since most people who get to play multiple roles in a movie get it after a lot of experience, I was nervous.
I have spent a short span to do roles as difficult as the one in 'What's Your Rashee', but as an actor all I can say is that I do my work with as much honesty as possible and the rest is destiny, " she said.
If "What's Your Rashee?" hits the jackpot at the box office, it will be her fourth consecutive hit in a row after "Fashion", "Dostana" and "Kaminey".
But she is unmoved. "Hits and flops are a part of the business, isn't it?" she said. Asked how she handles success at a young age, the former Miss World said: "I have always been grounded. I have an incredible passion for what I do (acting). I don't know how to do anything else, I don't want to do anything else and I love what I do. There's nothing else that affects me."
What about growing expectations from audiences and critics?
"It scares me when my films release. I wonder if people will like it or not. That for me is the most important thing. But at the same time I think: what's the point of living a life without any expectations?
You will just stagnate, become complacent - that's not the kind of person I am. I like striving, I like things that challenge me; I take up difficult films and difficult roles to challenge myself, " Priyanka said.
"I like it when people say things like 'Fashion' was a female-centric movie and yet it was successful and that 'Kaminey' was an all-boys film, still my part was really appreciated, and 'Dostana' was majorly on gay guys, and it ended so well. I enjoy that - I like the fact that I can take up different scripts.
"It's just that I like to take up challenges, " she added.
Priyanka's next will see her paired with Uday Chopra in Yash Raj Films' "Pyaar Impossible", where she will play the beauty and the latter a geek.

I'll marry for love - Priyanka Chopra

Desi girl Priyanka Chopra was in Ahmedabad for promoting her upcoming release What’s Your Raashee?
In a chat session with TOI, the demure actress speaks about professionalism, rumours, friendship and the number game in Bollywood.
Excerpts from the interview ... Learning curve Priyanka opened her innings in the glam world at the age of 17 and hasn’t looked back.
“Everything happened so fast and within such a short span. I didn’t even get time to retrospect,” says the actress.
Priyanka’s parents rendered immense support during the formative years of her career. The actor now takes pride in being self-reliant. “My parents are busy with other things to be taken care of. I am on my own now.”
Professionalism speaks Priyanka is a thorough professional who has always surged ahead with an indomitable spirit.
“I belong to a family with an army background. I have been taught on discipline, one’s responsibilities and that one needs to respect time. It’s very hard for others to understand about my condition as they are concerned more with the production costs in case a shoot gets cancelled. So I try to accomplish my task on the sets even though I am running with high temperature. However, this aggravates the health situation as it happened earlier.”
What’s in a number? “Number game does happen but as an actor I want to give my best. I take pride in the kind of work I do. I feel bad if my work is not appreciated. I know that a film’s success will put me on the top position. If a film fails at the Box Office, that will make me trail by five or six positions.
But the number game doesn’t affect me.” Does she feel pressured? “It’s really scary. I owe a lot to my fans and people who have admired my work. Their great expectations at times really scare me. But by God’s grace I am doing well,” says the actress.
Dostana in Bollywood “I don’t think two top actresses can ever be best friends because they are competing with each other. They can hang out together but the unconditional love between two close pals will be missing in this relationship.”
On rumours “People link me with male actors who I work with. I hate reading about all those rumours. I too belong to a family. How does a father react to the news about his daughter having a string of affairs?”
The real Piggy Chops What keeps Priyanka going strong is her focused approach so far as her career is concerned. “I am very emotional, fun loving, moody and hardworking person who thinks from within. I am very attached to my family and friends.” On Cupid “If I get into a relationship I will speak about it with great pride. I will go for a love marriage but only with my parents’ consent.”
Life’s mantra “There are two philosophies in life: I would want to live in every moment and not think about tomorrow; continue living my life the way it is now and do good work with my family and friends standing by my side.”
