Amrita Rao all set for Sex before Marriage!

She may have played the girl-next door in ‘Ishq Vishq’, a tomboy in ‘Main Hoon Na’ and a demure belle in ‘Vivaah’, but the girl’s thoughts on pre-marital sex is as explosive as a dynamite. The coy-looking lass has no qualms in entering into a heated love-making session with boyfriend even if it’s scorned by the conservatives in our Indian society.

Recently, the belle ignited a time bomb sort of controversy, when she appeared half naked on the cover of ‘The Man’ magazine`s November 2009 issue - the wedding special edition and gave an interview in which she expressed her bold views on sex before marriage. "I don`t see any harm in people getting physical in a relationship before marriage. If there is romance, there is bound to be some level of physical intimacy between partners. As long as both partners are comfortable and they take precautions, it should be their decision to take the relationship to that level before marriage or not," Amrita said.

Well, what concerns us is not Amrita’s radical views on marriage but the reason behind her attempts to change her image from a demure lass to a bold bimbo. What’s going on, Amrita?

Amrita Rao dating Vishal Malhotra

There is a new guy in Amrita Rao’s life. His name is Vishal Malhotra, and incidentally, he acted with her in her first film, Ken Ghosh’s Ishq Vishk, where he played the role of Shahid Kapoor’s friend. They became friends on the sets. It is learnt that they have been dating for some time now. They have been going to events but make solo entries and exits. They can’t go public with their relationship as her family doesn’t approve. While Amrita is already an established actress, Vishal has yet to prove his mettle as an actor in films.He is currently acting in Ravi Chopra’s Banda Yeh Bindass Hai, Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai and Vashu Bhagnani’s next.Although he has done many films, he hasn’t quite made a name of himself and her family wants her to see someone who is at least as successful as her.”

When asked about his bonding with Amrita, Vishal says, “I won’t use the usual cliché that Amrita and I are just good friends. I also admit that we are extremely close and she’s one of the most special people in my life. I can’t define my relationship with Amrita. We do hold a special place for each other. I am not ashamed about my relationship with her but to talk beyond that wouldn’t be fair to her. We are both in different phases and places in life. I am still trying to get a foothold in films.”Vishal adds, “Amrita and I started out together with Ishq Vishk and have kept in touch. We spend as much time together as we can. When I first met Amrita, we instantly connected. She’s a lovely, dignified girl. I like the way she handles everything in life.”

Recently Vishal was seen hosting TV reality show Perfect Bride with Rao (the mentor). “I was doing the show and came again for one episode. In fact, Amrita was to do just one episode for PB but the show is such great fun that I forced her to do more.”Vishal also co-hosted Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega with Mona Singh, and now he wants to concentrate on films. “I don’t have a family backing to get me lead roles, and so I am looking at doing strong character roles with good filmmakers.” When asked about Vishal, Amrita says, “Vishal is a dear friend of mine since Ishq Vishk days. I have already had a laughter attack thinking of being linked with him. I can’t wait to give him one with this piece of news. Vishal is just my buddy.”

He had told her that a woman should wear a bikini the day she has a body to flaunt it. Amrita defines a bikini as a two-piece suit that one wears to the beach and not a means to gain publicity. Anil Kapoor Fined for Short Kut title

The Delhi High Court on Thursday allowed Bollywood actor and producer Anil Kapoor to release his film Shortkut after he agreed to pay Rs 35 lakh to another producer who claimed to have copyright over the title of the movie.

The production company, Anil Kapoor Film Co Pvt Ltd, owned by the actor agreed before Justice Reva Chetrapal to pay Rs 35 lakhs to B S Bhullar who claimed copyrights over the title Short Kut.

The movie, starring Akshay Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao, is scheduled to be released on Friday.

Bhullar had alleged that Kapoor had copied the title of his film after he gave script to the actor and offered him a role in his proposed movie.

The High Court had on July 7 issued notice to the film company and and sought its reply on the matter. Bhullar had alleged he had registered the title Short Kut with the Films Association in September 2005 and the Bollywood actor's production company copied it in an "illegal and unauthorised" manner.

No Marriage for the next 10 years: Amrita Rao

She was rumoured to be dating Shahid Kapoor and then Hurman Baweja. But there is no one "special" in her life right now and she won't think about marriage for the next 10 years, says actress Amrita Rao, who is all set to don a glamorous avatar in "Short Kut".

"I'm not getting married for the next 10 years. I don't have anyone special in my life at the moment and my complete focus is on my work," Amrita told IANS over phone from Mumbai.The 28-year-old entered the Hindi film industry seven years ago with "Ab Ke Baras". She then featured in college love story "Ishq Vishk", sex comedy "Masti", shared screen space with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in potboiler "Main Hoon Na" and social drama "Vivah". She was also appreciated for her performance in Shyam Benegal's non-commercial "Welcome To Sajjanpur".
Now the actress is all set for her first release of the year, "Short Kut - The Con Is On", in which she has teamed up with Akshaye Khanna and Arshad Warsi.
Set in Bollywood, the film is about two strugglers - one who makes it big as a superstar (Arshad) after stealing a script and the other (Akshaye) who continues to struggle as a director after his script gets stolen.
"I am playing an actress in the film. Neeraj Vora wanted to highlight the personal life of an actress through my character," Amrita said.
The actress said that her bold avatar in the film was not a conscious decision.
"Everyone has been asking me whether I made a conscious decision to change my look. This is not the case. I haven't sat and decided that I'm bored with one kind of role so give me something else. It's just that I have got an opportunity to do different roles and I have moulded myself to suit the character," she said. The same is the case with my character in this film. I wanted to do something different with the styling of this character and so the new look. Nothing more," Amrita added.
Fashion designer Manish Malhotra is the one who has styled Amrita's new look.
Produced by Anil Kapoor, "Short Kut..." is scheduled for a July 10 release. Amrita says she was thrilled to work with the actor-producer who used to give her pep talks during the shoot.
"Many times he used to give me pep talks, encouraging and motivating me. The whole energy and aura about him is great. He is an incredibly positive personality," the actress said.
Talking about the two male actors in the film, Amrita said: "Akshaye is an actor who comes completely prepared and is a 'one take' actor so you also feel you should give your best.
"Arshad comes up with these impromptu additions to the dialogues which are just so funny. So matching that becomes a little difficult."

Amrita broke the girl next door image and made news for her silver swimsuit that she sports in Shortkut.
