Imagine shooting in a 300 years old villa that could crumble any minute. Yet producer Sajid Nadiadwala took the risk after all it involved his pet project Kambakkht Ishq.

A source said, "The unit had to shoot in this 300 year old villa located in Vicenza outskirts of Italy. Firstly the owner did not give the villa for film shoots. But he made an exception for Sajid. At the same time he also told Sajid to be careful while moving heavy equipment as the villa had walls and pillars that could crumble any minute. Also anything could crash any minute making the place very spooky and scary." But the unit somehow managed to complete the shooting. "We heaved a sigh of relief after it was over," said our source.

Now that surely was one creaky experience!

Bollywood bombshell Mallika charges a Bomb for appearing in Sallu's Dus Ka Dum

Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat, whose fans are waiting eagerly for the release of her new movie Hiss, has reportedly charged a bomb to make a special appearance in Sony Entertainment Television's (SET) popular television game show Dus Ka Dum.

Due to popular public demand, Sony decided to continue the television show, which stars Salman Khan as the host, and to add celeb-quotient to it, the organizers had approached the Kapoor sisters (Karishma and Kareena), who readily agreed to be a part of the show.

The organizers also wanted Bollywood's sexy bombshell Mallika Sherawat to be a part of the show as she is a good friend of Sallu.

However, friendship comes at a cost or so it seemed to SET as Mallika began acting pricey, saying she could not be available for the show as she had a packed schedule.

"But when the organizers persisted, Mallika relented and demanded a whopping Rs.50 lakh as guest appearance. Sony's representatives were shocked but agreed as Mallika is a full entertainment and her appearance would increase the show's ratings," a source close to the development said.

"In the game show she will be talking about her next release, Hissss, which is being directed by Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch," the source said.

As for the Kapoor sisters, the source said, "Both Bebo (Kareena) and Lolo (Karishma) were approached by the channel. Karisma is busy tending to her daughter Samaira and Kareena's occupied with professional commitments, but still the two sisters readily agreed to go on the show because they are fond of Sallu. Both girls have always declined invitations by reality shows earlier to appear together. But for Salman's sake, they made an exception and will appear together in the very first episode of the show (May 30)," the source said.

Meanwhile, Sallu has refused to use his star power to rope in big names for the show as he is reportedly being paid less than last time for hosting the show.

However, Sallu said he has no problems with the producers whatsoever.

"It is true that I had some issues with the producers of the show. I was given big money for the first season but now it is recession time and I have reduced my fees accordingly. There was some initial disagreement about the amount of reduction but now things have been sorted out," Sallu said

"The reason I decided to host the second season of Dus Ka Dum is because my fans loved seeing me on the game show last year. I am back by popular demand. If they (fans) wouldn't have liked it, the channel surely would not have come out with the show again and mujhe toh bilkul nahi lete (they wouldn't have taken me)," he said.

However, unlike last time when Sallu took charge of personally inviting celebrities to the game show, this time Sony TV will be responsible.

"The reason why Sony is taking care of the celebrities is that I have been left with a few friends in the industry. There are a few left and I will try to get them on the show," Sallu said.

Sallu also said he has no animosity with Shah Rukh Khan and is ready to welcome him on the show too.

"If Sony wants to bring him (Shah Rukh) then he is more than welcome. It'll be his good fortune if he comes. I don't have a problem with it. It's not a big deal. After all, I'm not getting married to him!!" Sallu said. But personally, Sallu said he would prefer to have guests like Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Dharmendra, Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi on his show.

In the first season of Dus Ka Dum, Sallu had roped in popular celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Imran Khan, Govinda, Akshay Kumar, Rani Mukherjee and David Dhawan.

Sallu also refused to speak to the media about his professional rivalry with Shah Rukh Khan. "Even if I did (have a problem with Khan), I wouldn't discuss it publicly," he said.

Sallu also lashed out at the media for portraying him as the bad boy of Bollywood. "Celebrities are always in a catch-22 situation. You keep writing false stories and when there is no reaction, the falsehood continues. If you react, more will be written," he said.

Incidentally, Sallu's game show received higher TRP (above 3.5) than that of rival Shah Rukh Khan's Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain (about 2.5) and even boosted SET's position in the television pecking order. Not surprisingly, Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain will not be having a second season.

Dus Ka Dum also offers the highest cash prize - Rs.10 crore - among all the game shows.So will that mean we will be seeing more of Sallu? "If the response for the second season is good, we will go ahead with the third and fourth season. If fans want I will keep doing more seasons of Dus Ka Dum. I will not get bored of this show because I like it. I like the whole set-up and atmosphere, interaction with the audience and their reactions," he said.

During the shooting of Tips Films Prince with Vivek Oberoi, Nandana Sen sustained a serious hip injury.
Now in deep pain, the Rang Rasiya actress might have to cancel the film shooting in New York for urgent hip surgery.
Nandana injured her hip during a fight sequence.
“These things happen during a film shoot. Can’t be avoided. My joint has sustained a major labrium tear. Only surgery can rectify it, and the soonest possible.”
Nandana got temporary surgery done so that her shooting doesn’t get disrupted. “It was a bit complicated and very painful. Steroid was administered directly into the injury track by scanning machines. It should work for two weeks.”
Although her worried family has advised her against it, Nandana hopes to complete Prince in these two weeks before going for permanent surgery. “I don’t want the shooting to suffer. But I’m suffering. Shakira was right. Hips don’t lie.”

Hrithik, Suzanne, Farhan at International AIDS candlelight Memorial

Hrithik Roshan, who is currently in the news for his upcoming film Kites, along with his wife Suzanne, graced the 26th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, which was organized by Parmeshwar Godrej’s Heroes Project and the Mumbai District AIDS Control Society, which echoed the slogan “Together we are the solution”.

What’s more is that Hrithik took the pledge “I will” to show his solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS. At the event, he said, “We are not doing this only for HIV infected people. We are doing this for you and me. AIDS is not something that is happening to other people but it is happening to us”.

But true to his noble being, Hrithik credited his wife Suzanne for giving him the ‘impetus’ to be a part of the cause. “I think it is important for prominent people to do something for human value,” Suzanne said.

“We are here to protect our children and our people. If something from our side can make a difference, we both would like to speak about it,” she added.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is miffed with Anil Naik, who filed a case against him and his wife Twinkle for obscene behaviour in public during the recent Lakme India Fashion Week (LIFW).

The actor feels Naik tries to seek publicity by harassing celebrities like him, Milind Soman and Mamta Kulkarni, says a close friend.

"Akshay is very hurt by the whole episode specially since the man behind the campaign had earlier harassed a very dear co-star Mamta Kulkarni. Anil Naik had earlier filed similar obscenity complaints against Milind Soman and Madhu Spare. He apparently thrives on getting publicity from seeking out celebrities from the entertainment world and harassing them," said a close friend of the actor.

Akshay's unbuttoning act had kicked up a storm with some private individuals lodging police complaints, accusing Akshay of immoral and indecent behaviour in public.

On Monday morning when Akshay returned from Singapore after shooting for Priyadarshan's Dan Dana Dan, he was quickly taken to the police station, arrested and released on bail.

"When he reached Mumbai press persons called to ask if he had been captured, as though he was a dangerous fugitive. But what had he done? Opened one button of his jeans, and that too by his wife," said the friend.

Hrithik, Barbara's sexy lip-locking scene is Hottest gossip in Bollywood

Agrees a source who claims to be a close friend of the Bollywood star.

"There is a scene in the movie where both Hrithik and Barbara are supposed to jump from a tall building. During the shooting, Anurag wanted to include a kissing scene before the death-defying stunt. Hrithik agreed and gave Barbara a peck on her cheek. But Barbara would have none of it. 'Given the same situation with your real-life wife, Suzanne, would you kiss her on the cheek?' she told Hrithik who was floored by her logic," the source said.

"Hrithik took a few seconds to recover but realized that Barbara was right. So he immediately hugged her and kissed her on the lips the way real-life couple would do in a similar situation," the source added.

When contacted, Hrithik confirmed the incident but said the media blew the whole incident out of proportion. "Barbara was right. However, there is nothing distasteful about the scene. Why are we even talking about kissing? Is that such a big deal? Hasn't our cinema grown up? Yes, there's kissing scenes in the film. But nothing to make me squirm. In fact, I'd be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with my wife, son and parents when the film is released," Hrithik said.

According to Hrithik, the movie Kites is "a love story" and hence there is nothing unusual about the kissing scene.

"It's about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact, it was Barbara Mori who made me realize how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally," Hrithik said.

"I wouldn't give any attention to the rumor. It doesn't matter as long as it is something to do with my film. Barbara is a great girl, a great co-star and friend. And I am very proud of my film. If tongues wag, I can't help it. It doesn't matter what people say," the miffed actor said.

As for Barbara, she refused to be dragged into the controversy and merely said she was "extremely overwhelmed" by the Indian hospitality.

"Kites is my first experience of working in an Indian film and I must say it has been extremely overwhelming. I am glad that the film is being marketed at the Cannes film festival and looking forward to the response the film gets," she said.

Meanwhile, senior Roshan has approved the passionate lip-locking scene.

"Why is the media making a big deal about the kissing scene? There has to be some intimacy between Hrithik and Barbara because they're playing a couple in love. Hrithik had to kiss Barbara, what else could he do? Sing songs with her like we do in our Hindi movies? It is his job as an actor to do what the filmmaker tells him. If as a filmmaker I can watch Hrithik jumping from a five-storey building in Krishh, why should I be uncomfortable watching him do a kiss? It is his character in Kites who is kissing Barbara. It is just a job," Roshan Sr. said.

Daddy dear has also cleared the air about the relationship between Hrithik and Barbara, who are attending the Cannes Film Festival for the promotion of Kites.

"Barbara has finished all her work for Kites. We don't need her for the film until the global premieres of Kites begin this Diwali (in October). Hence, there is no question of her coming down to Mumbai now for Kites," Rakesh Roshan said.

Lately the media has been portraying Hrithik and Barbara as Bollywood's hottest lovebirds and said that Hrithik had invited the sexy actress to India as he feared for her health because of the swine flu.

"It is a love story...the love story of a young salsa dance teacher (Hrithik Roshan) who falls in love with a Latino girl (Barbara Mori). Problem is they do not know each other's language and yet the two communicate and grow very close to each other. Meanwhile, a wealthy girl (Kangana Ranaut) who is Hrithik's dance student, who falls madly in love with her handsome tutor. The film then turns from a romance to a thriller and circumstances force them to split," the source said.

Kites, whose global distribution rights have reportedly been sold for a whopping Rs.150 crore, releases in India in October.

Neetu Chandra in trouble for Her 'Lesbian' photoshoot

Recently, when actress Neetu Chandra (of Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! fame) agreed to do a bold photo shoot for a men’s magazine, she hardly realised it would spark controversy and outrage from political affiliates.

Neetu, who had agreed to do hot and sexy cover for ‘The Man’ magazine, was shooting along with model Krishikha Gupta outside the lobby of a 3-star hotel, when a group of the hotel’s regular male customers watching it by the pool, suddenly started raising strong objections, by indiscriminately shouting at her and the magazine crew.

But only when things spiralled into an ugly argument and the group started screaming “Jai Maharashtra” at the top of their lungs, did the magazine’s team and Neetu realise that things were out of their control.

Alleging that the shoot was promoting lesbianism, the group began getting aggressive and tried to physically harm the shooting crew.

They claimed to have connections with Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and threatened an agitation. They even tried to confiscate the camera, resulting in the shoot having to be abruptly called off. Though the concept about two girls getting very intimate was a bit outrageous, we were doing it very aesthetically.

But these men were a frustrated lot and couldn’t take the heat. They only saw nudity in our concept,” fires Neetu Chandra.

The actress explains, “First they tried to seek my attention with smiles and stares, so I acknowledged them.

But as I went on with my work, the whole group of men suddenly started feeling ignored and began creating a scene.

They did manage to scare me when they started to politicise the issue and scream communal slogans. That was when we had to stop the shoot.”

But now ‘The Man’ has decided to go ahead with the images they managed before the ruckus at the hotel began, raising speculation whether these sensational images will cause further problems when the magazine’s next issue hits the stands in a couple of days.

Karisma, Kareena Lend 'dum' to Sallu

The buzz is that no Bollywood celebrities are going to be on Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum show for Sony this season, because the macho star has refused Kareena Kapoor to pull them in.

Not entirely true. Bollywood’s lovely Kapoor sisters, Karisma and Kareena, are confirmed guests to kick off the first episode of the game show’s second season on Monday.

A source close to the Kapoor girls admitted, “They were approached by the channel. Karisma is busy tending to her daughter Samaira and Kareena’s occupied with professional commitments, but still — the two sisters readily agreed to go on the show because they are fond of Salman. Both girls have always declined invitations by reality shows earlier to appear together... but for Salman’s sake, they made an exception.”

Besides Kareena’s fondness for Salman, the two are also co-stars in Main Aur Mrs Khanna, which is also why she decided to be part of Sallu’s show. In the last season, the actor had used his considerable goodwill in Bollywood to get stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone and Aamir Khan and nephew Imran to appear on his show. This time round, rumours are that he isn’t exerting his pull to do so, and the channel was approaching the stars on its own.
