Ever since Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori closeness rumors triggered after their ‘Kites’, the actor seems unable to get Barbara out of his mind.His marriage faced some ups and downs but still the actor has made it clear that he is eager to work with Barbara again. But the directors not not keen to get them paired again unless they see the fate of ‘Kites’.

According to sources, Hrithik has found a friend in Karan Johar and shared his quandary as an actor between Barbara and Susanne.But something has really changed Hrithik after he was linked with Barbara. He has become a party animal that he was never before.

Katrina refuses to star opposite Hrithik

Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan has acted with almost every actress in the film industry but not with the happening Katrina Kaif, who has a string of hits under her belt. It would be a treat to see these talented actors together on the big screens but that’s not going to happen soon, as Katrina has refused to act with Hrithik.

The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Katrina refused to act opposite Hrithik in the sequel of the hit film Krrish. The reason she gave was that its shooting schedules clashed with that of Karan Johar’s Dostana sequel. Sources said that Rakesh Roshan decided to go for Deepika Padukone after Katrina turned down his offer.

Sanjay and Hrithik patch up

After their recent spat, Hrithik Roshan Sanjay Leela Bhansali and seemed to have reconciled with the latter singing praises for his lead star.Hrithik Roshan stars in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most anticipated next Guzaarish, a film about a paraplegic man and his life’s trials and tribulations. The film also stars model Monikangana Dutta and Aishwarya Rai. Recently Hrithik and Sanjay had had a spat on the sets of the film as Sanjay known as a strict master wasn’t ready to budge on Hrithik’s appeal of having less English dialogues in the movie. A source on the sets explained, ‘Hrithik already has Kites which is being marketed on an international level, but back here he wanted Guzaarish to appeal to all categories of masses and that would only be possible if there was less emphasis on English dialogues.

Thus when Sanjay refused to budge, Hrithik took matters onto his own hands and read out an entire dialogue in Hindi which left Sanjay fuming. All was not well on the sets after that.’However things changed for the better only just recently, and the source adds, ‘We were shooting a very complex monologue that has Hrithik thinking of his past lover.The monologue was quite long and Sanjay broke it up in three parts so that it could ease Hrithik’s strain on the dialogue and emotions. But when the scene started Hrithik read out the entire 3 piece dialogue in one shot with such perfection that everyone was left awestruck on set.

Sanjay was at a loss of words and went to Hrithik and said that he could very well be featured in the league of Amitabh Bachchan who did the same in the climax of Baghban.The reason it shocked Sanjay more because Hrithik’s stammer problems are known to one and all and for him to overcome that was simply magnificent.’Things are back to normal between the two and the duo are leaving no stone unturned to insure they have a winner on their hands with Guzaarish.

Hrithik’s Kites being re-formatted in Hollywood

American filmmaker Brett Ratner of Red Dragon fame is “editing” English version of Kites to factor in the Western psyche. It may be the first for a Hollywood director formatting a Bollywood movie.

Reports suggest that intercultural romance thriller Kites has two versions—one for domestic Indian audience and another English version for international audiences.

While the domestic version has been completed, the international version is still being formatted.

The two versions were reportedly shot simultaneously in Hindi and English in Las Vegas (Nevada), New Mexico, and Los Angeles (California) in USA.

Acclaimed Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, welcomed Hollywood and Bollywood coming together, sharing resources on various creative and technical aspects of filmmaking.

Directed by Anurag Basu, produced by Rakesh Roshan, with music by Rajesh Roshan, the bi-lingual Salsa dance based Kites is said to be a love story that defies boundaries, cultures, rules, barriers and language.

Proposed to be released next summer worldwide, it stars Hrithik Roshan, Uruguay born Mexican actress-model MTV winner Barbara Mori, Kangana Ranaut, Nicholas Brown and Kabir Bedi.

Hrithik let off even as party irks Neighbour

Known for their highflying ways and fixation for late night parties that run into the wee hours, Bollywood celebrities have often found themselves on the wrong side of law. Joining the long list of errant stars who have had an unfriendly brush with the authorities is Hrthik Roshan whose late night bash on Sunday made neighbours see red and police asking the actor to lower down the volume.
According to sources, police had to rush to Hrithik’s residence in the early hours of Sunday morning to bring down the music level. On a complaint filed by the actor’s neighbours, the police were forced to ask the actor to obey the rules.

Wearing the best of party outfits, the night saw the best of Bollywood climbing down from their mean machines to attend a party at Hrithik’s place. With a guest list that included the who’s who of B-town, namely Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Genelia D’Souza, Amisha Patel, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, Sonali Bendre and newly engaged Shilpa and Raj Kundra, a wild bash was on the cards as it was mommy Pinky Roshan’s birthday which was on Oct 22. The party was postponed for Sunday so that the A-listers could attend.

Dancing to fast beats and loud music little did the actor care about his neighbours. Peeved with his wild antics, the neighbours made hasty calls to the authorities. And though the authorities paid a visit to Duggu’s place, they refrained from carrying out any strict action.

Owing to his celebrity status, the actor was let off after he was issued a warning. However this isn’t the first time that celebrities have been let off lightly. Previously it was Preity Zinta who was let go without even a warning when the beauty had thrown a party at her residence.

Hrithik caught changing Lanes

After months of house hunting, actor purchases bungalow for Rs 40 crore on 11th Road, the lane next to his earlier apartment

Actor Hrithik Roshan is all set to step out of daddy's shadow.

For months, the actor has been house hunting and had plans to move out from papa Rakesh Roshan's house, as reported by HiT LIST on June 4 (Hrithik will pay Rs 45 crore to move out of his father's place).

Finally, he has zeroed in on his dream home, not too far away from his current home at El Palazzo, JVPD, Juhu.

Roshan Jr has purchased a sprawling property on 11th Road for a whopping Rs 40 crore from an exporter, who has now moved to Andheri.
According to real estate sources, the actor has purchased the bungalow Paras, a ground plus one structure, in the lane next to El Palazzo, where he currently occupies the ninth floor along with his wife and two sons.

Rakesh Roshan, his wife, daughter Sunaina and granddaughter Sonalika live on the eighth, ninth and 10th floor of the building, situated on 12th Road.

Down memory lane

Sangeet Kumar, a celebrity real estate broker from Juhu, confirmed the deal. "Hrithik was looking for a property in Juhu for quite some time.

He has finally purchased Paras on the 11th Road and it's a beautiful property."

"The bungalow is two blocks away from Kavita building, where the actor spent most of his childhood," added another Juhu broker.

Saamnewali khidki

With this purchase, Hrithik will join several Bollywood stars that call 11th Road their home and will be neighbour to some of the bigwigs in the industry.

His new bungalow is opposite veteran actor Danny Denzongpa's villa and just a few blocks away from where late actor Amrish Puri lived.

New home for kids

However, Hrithik has no immediate plans to move out of El Palazzo.

A source close to the Roshans revealed, "Hrithik bought the Paras property four to five months ago. He will probably move into his new house once the kids grow up."

Old deal

Prior to purchasing the 11th Road bungalow, Hrithik was to purchase a three-storeyed building, Husman in the same lane.

He had plans to demolish the building and build a bungalow on the plot. However, after reports in the media, the deal was called off.

Repeated efforts to contact the Roshans proved futile.

Hrithik and Suzanne to walk the Ramp at IIFA

Hrithik Roshan and his wife Suzanne will walk the ramp for the first time together for sister-in-law Farah Ali Khan at the IIFA Fashion Extravanganza in Macau during the IIFA weekend being held from June 11 to 13.

Sonam Kapoor will be the show stopper for designer Anamika Khanna.

The fashion extravanganza has been organised on June 12.

Proceeds of the event will go to the IIFA Foundation as part of charity to support film industry workers who have been adversely affected during production of films.

The star-studded night will see leading designers like Rocky S, Manav Gangwani, Anamika Khanna, Farah Ali Khan and Hong Kong designer Chris Chang showcase their designs.

Meanwhile, It was also announced thatAishwarya Rai Bachchan and AR Rahman will be presented with the IDEA IIFA award for outstanding contribution by an Indian in International Cinema.

The Fashion Extravanganza will be hosted by Zayed Khan and Sophie Chaudhary. International singing sensation Peter Andre will perform at the event which will be held at the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel.

Hrithik Roshan Signs Hollywood Romantic Thriller Film Opposite Penelope cruz

There have been on and off reports of Hrithik Roshan getting a Hollywood project in hand. However, the latest news is that he has finally signed a deal for a Hollywood movie starring opposite Tom Cruise’s ex love interest, Penelope Cruz.

This long awaited Hollywood debut of Hrithik Roshan will be made by father Rakesh Roshan’s production house, Filmkraft along with a Hollywood production company. Hrithik gives English Lessons to Barbara

It's not just fame that Kites has brought to Mexican actress Barbara Mori. She has also learnt English while shooting for the romantic-action thriller and it was none other than co-star Hrithik Roshan who turned teacher on the sets.

Apparently Barbara and Hrithik made a pact. Hrithik would teach Barbara English and Barbara would teach him Spanish while shooting for the movie.

"I don't know how much of the promised linguistic exchange worked, but Hrithik knows enough Spanish to understand Mori better than his character in Kites who can't follow a word of what she says in the film," said a crew member.

Barbara has picked up enough to conduct herself coherently with the media in Cannes although apparently she would often turn to Hrithik to get the right word.

Film producer and Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan said: "Barbara knew only Spanish when she started shooting for Kites. That suited us fine since her character is supposed to understand only Spanish. During shooting she needed to communicate with her co-stars and the crew. She was forced to learn English. Now she speaks just enough to make herself understood".

Kites is being directed by Anurag Basu and also stars Kangana Ranaut in a pivotal role. The film's shooting is over and it has reached editing table. Rakesh Roshan is hoping for an October release.

"All the prospective buyers and mediapersons loved the trailer we took to Cannes. This was my first official visit to Cannes though I've been to the city for holidays," said Rakesh Roshan.

Hrithik, Suzanne, Farhan at International AIDS candlelight Memorial

Hrithik Roshan, who is currently in the news for his upcoming film Kites, along with his wife Suzanne, graced the 26th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, which was organized by Parmeshwar Godrej’s Heroes Project and the Mumbai District AIDS Control Society, which echoed the slogan “Together we are the solution”.

What’s more is that Hrithik took the pledge “I will” to show his solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS. At the event, he said, “We are not doing this only for HIV infected people. We are doing this for you and me. AIDS is not something that is happening to other people but it is happening to us”.

But true to his noble being, Hrithik credited his wife Suzanne for giving him the ‘impetus’ to be a part of the cause. “I think it is important for prominent people to do something for human value,” Suzanne said.

“We are here to protect our children and our people. If something from our side can make a difference, we both would like to speak about it,” she added.

Also present at the event were Farhan Akhtar, Nandita Das, Director-General of the National AIDS Control Organisation, Dr. Sujata Rao and A V Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla.

Hrithik, Barbara Mori get too Cosy at Cannes

Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori seem to have thrown caution to the wind. The twosome were spotted dining in close comfort at the Croisette restaurant in Cannes after the Kites press conference.Says a source, "Their chairs were too close for comfort. Considering that it is cold in Cannes, the duo seemed to be giving each other a lot of warmth."

Barbara and Hrithik also attended the India Party thrown by Vijay Mallya on a luxury yacht. Says a source, "Hand-in-hand, they looked pretty cosy, even as papa Roshan walked a discreet two steps behind."

It is learnt that Hrithik did not accompany his dad and Kites director Anurag Basu when they flew into Cannes. Hrithik left a day later and without biwi Sussanne. Barbara jetted into the festival from Mexico.

The filmmaker, who went to Cannes to showcase his next venture Kites, spoke to BT about the buzz around the film because of the onscreen chemistry (and kiss) between the lead pair — his son Hrithik and Mexican model-actress Barbara Mori — that reportedly carried on off the sets in Mumbai. Rakesh, who has made half a dozen blockbusters including Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Krishh, is aware that the hype and the hoopla surrounding Kites is something else. Happily, this has translated into business for him, and the worldwide rights of Kites have apparently been sold for Rs 150 crore. But Rakesh, who accompanied Hrithik and Barbara to the international film festival at Cannes, cannot help feeling as infuriated about the whole thing as he is excited.

Were the steamy scenes in Kites added to woo the international audience?

There will be two versions of Kites, one for the Indian market and the other for the international. To assume we added steamy scenes to woo an international audience is ridiculous! We’ve just made a film where we have changed the rules. And there is some intimacy between Hrithik and Barbara because they’re playing a couple in love. Hrithik had to kiss Barbara, what else could he do? Sing songs with her like we do in our Hindi movies? It is his job as an actor to do what the filmmaker tells him.

Were you embarrassed watching their intimacy on the sets?

I fail to understand why everyone is asking me this question. It is silly. If as a filmmaker I can watch Hrithik jumping from a five-storey building in Krishh, why should I be uncomfortable watching him do a kiss? It is his character in Kites who is kissing Barbara. It is just a job.

Do you agree that Kites is your most hyped film?

I know there is huge excitement, and expectation, over Kites. I’m not doing anything deliberate to hype the film. We showcased it at the film festival and the international media went gaga over it. I was at Vijay Mallya’s party in Cannes and everyone was curious about Kites. Most western newspapers and magazines have written about Hrithik. For me as a father and a filmmaker, it’s a proud moment.
