Sanjay and Hrithik patch up

After their recent spat, Hrithik Roshan Sanjay Leela Bhansali and seemed to have reconciled with the latter singing praises for his lead star.Hrithik Roshan stars in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most anticipated next Guzaarish, a film about a paraplegic man and his life’s trials and tribulations. The film also stars model Monikangana Dutta and Aishwarya Rai. Recently Hrithik and Sanjay had had a spat on the sets of the film as Sanjay known as a strict master wasn’t ready to budge on Hrithik’s appeal of having less English dialogues in the movie. A source on the sets explained, ‘Hrithik already has Kites which is being marketed on an international level, but back here he wanted Guzaarish to appeal to all categories of masses and that would only be possible if there was less emphasis on English dialogues.

Thus when Sanjay refused to budge, Hrithik took matters onto his own hands and read out an entire dialogue in Hindi which left Sanjay fuming. All was not well on the sets after that.’However things changed for the better only just recently, and the source adds, ‘We were shooting a very complex monologue that has Hrithik thinking of his past lover.The monologue was quite long and Sanjay broke it up in three parts so that it could ease Hrithik’s strain on the dialogue and emotions. But when the scene started Hrithik read out the entire 3 piece dialogue in one shot with such perfection that everyone was left awestruck on set.

Sanjay was at a loss of words and went to Hrithik and said that he could very well be featured in the league of Amitabh Bachchan who did the same in the climax of Baghban.The reason it shocked Sanjay more because Hrithik’s stammer problems are known to one and all and for him to overcome that was simply magnificent.’Things are back to normal between the two and the duo are leaving no stone unturned to insure they have a winner on their hands with Guzaarish.

Sonia Gandhi Displeased with Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt’s statement during the election campaign, “Congress killed my father” did not go well with the congress president Sonia Gandhi and she is upset with him. In a telephonic conversation that took place between Sanju baba and Sonia Gandhi, Mrs Gandhi expressed her displeasure for Sanju targeting her party is a wrong way. She told him that his family had always been a strong supporter of congress and she was disappointed by his statement against the party.

A meeting was supposed to take place between the two but a close source to Sanjay denies any meeting between the two. During the election result, Sanjay was in Delhi and speculation was ripe that Sanjay will meet Mrs Gandhi, the congress president.

A source informs, "Sanju didn't go to meet Madam in Delhi last week. He had gone for some personal work — meetings with people for his production house."

He was there to meet Amar Singh, who was unwell. Meeting madam wasn't part of Sanju's plans nor did he try to make an appointment with her. Also if Amar and he had gone to meet Madam at her residence, the entire media would have landed up there and it would become public knowledge."

Hardly had anyone forgotten the instance when Govinda slapped an onlooker (initially thought to be a journalist) on the sets of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai that the actor again got caught into another ‘slap controversy’. Govinda slapped director Neeraj Vohra on the sets of Run Bhola Run.

The reason: A scene required actor Aryan Vaid to push and slap Govinda. Unintentionally, Aryan hit him too hard. Govinda immediately reacted on this scene and accused Vohra of using the scene only to humiliate him on the sets. The heated argument took a bad turn and Govinda slapped the director in the presence of all.

Akshay jealous of Sanjay's Tattoos?

With Bollywood stars though, anything is possible. Heard that one of the reasons for friction on the sets of the Akshay Kumar-Sanjay Dutt flick Blue shot in the Bahamas were the tattoos on the leading men’s bodies. Akshay wears his son Aaraav’s name on his upper back and Sanjay Dutt has the most enviable collection of four tattoos including a lion on different parts of his body — back, forearm, etc.

According to a unit source who was witness to the filming of the underwater sequences, it so happened that Akki saw Sanju’s tattoos blazing on his body like a rock star and suggested to an assistant director that perhaps ‘baba’(Sanju) should cover the tattoos with make up because it wouldn’t go with the character he was playing. Sanju agreed to the suggestion, but when someone later told him that Akki was ‘jealous’ of his tattoos and hence he asked for them to be covered, Sanju was apparently disturbed. Akshay denies all this tattoo blah.

“Sanjay and I are very cordial with each other,’’ says Akki. “Where do these constant rumours of stress between us keeping cropping up from?’’ Akki said that even after watching the promos of Chandni Chowk to China — one of the first to congratulate him was Sanjay. At the party for Blue, the two guys posed for the shutterbugs.

“When Sanju visited the sets of De Dana Dan we hugged in view of the full unit,’’ says Akki. “Please don’t waste your breath asking me ridiculous questions,’’ he says. Must say the assistant director who has been spreading these stories of rivalry between Akshay and Sanjay must be going ‘blue’ in the face.
