Ash bumps into her ex-flame Salman

Even as his girlfriend Katrina Kaif is reeling at the Breach Candy Hospital for bad physical condition, Salman Khan had a odd encounter a few days ago that must have made him forget the world around him at least for a while. He bumped into his ex-flame Aishwarya Rai while shooting for his newest movie Veer.It happened at the Mehboob Studios where Aishwarya is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish.

Salman too is eventful shooting for the promo of Veer.Sources said that Salman emerged from his car and was talking on phone with a smile on his face. In the mean time, Aishwarya too was walking towards her van. Sources said that the ex-lovers’ eyes did meet for a moment and then chose to look the other way. Salman, who was all smiles on phone, turned serious and his smile turned into a frown. Even as Salman was walking around uneasily, Aishwarya entered her van instantly.

It may be recalled that the lovers had an ugly break-up after seeing each other for several years. Aishwarya is now cheerfully married to Abhishek Bachchan while Salman is going steady with Katrina Kaif.

Katrina turned down Salman’s offer

Salman Khan is well-known for his kindness but not many natives know that his much-awaited forthcoming project Veer was offered to his ladylove Katrina Kaif before it went to the kitty of newcomer Zarine Khan. Now if sources are to be believed, the pretty new face Zarine had been an assistant to Katrina Kaif for quite a long time.

Zarine has been paired opposite Salman and plays the pivotal role of Princess Yashodhara. Reliable source reveal, “Yes, Zarine was accessible the role after Katrina refused, due to date problems. Zarine had been an assistant to Kats for a while and now she is being launched by Salman.”

Now that’s what you call taking sweet payback from Kats. What do you say Salman? And wonder what Katrina too has to say on that?

Salman back with Judwaa 2

Salman Khan fans can rejoice once again. One of the actor’s biggest hits – Judwaa is all set return with a sequel. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director David Dhawan’s 1997 blockbuster had the star in a double role.While the makers had been planning Judwaa 2 for quite for a while, Salman Khan wasn’t convinced about the script.

Finally it seems David Dhawan has found an idea that appeals to the entire team.According to tabloids, the story will move 10 years ahead and will present Salman in two distinct looks. Sajid Nadiadwala told the media, ” Movies about twin heroes have become stale. So we kept reworking the storyboard to ensure the sequel has a high novelty value”.

However none of the leading ladies will be constant in the sequel. But ironically talks are on with Kareena Kapoor, whose sister Karisma was the heroine in the original.

Katrina nights out with Salman

The rumours of their break-up always do the rounds of the tinsel town but Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif always manage to come out strong. In what is being touted as a show of their strong bond Katrina performed in Dubai to some of her hit numbers with Salman. The actress disregarded medical advice to not go on stage and performed to a packed house

Katrina performed despite her ill-health and disregarding doctor’s advice not to go up to the stage for three months. It may be recalled that Katrina had been hospitalised after being struck by jaundice prior to the release of De Dana Dan which forced her to take rest and miss the promotional events of the movie. She is still suffering from low haemoglobin.

Sources close to her say that she has been flooded with calls from the organizers to perform at the event. Katrina was rumoured to have been paid Rs. 80 lakhs for the night and so there was no question of a pull out. Katrina took centre-stage, do a mock jig, and waved out to the crowds. Well not a bad deal for Rs. 80 lakhs.

Katrina wants to move away from Salman

Katrina Kaif is on a house-hunting spree. Real estate sources from Bandra reveal that for the last few months, the actress has been searching for a ghar in Bandra area, that’s far away from Galaxy Apartments (Salman Khan’s residence) and closer to Krishna Raj (Ranbir Kapoor’s bungalow) The search for her dream home has become more frantic in the past few days, and she has visited nearly half a dozen buildings in that time.The actress is on the lookout for a 4BHK space that’s sea-facing. She has set aside a Rs 10 crore budget for the same.

A property broker confirms that Kaif had seen a few apartments in Bandra’s Carter Road and Pali Hill area. He is certain it won’t be long before she picks a place, “She wants a big house and her budget is also good. It won’t be a problem for her to find a good house. The only thing is she has to settle on one.”The search has been sporadic in the last few months because Kat often travels for her film and show commitments and recently, she even had a health scare and was bed-ridden for a few days. The actress currently lives in a 3-BHK flat at Waterfield Road in Bandra and which has allegedly been gifted to her by Salman.Kat admits to looking for a flat in Bandra over the last six months. When quizzed about why she wants to shift from her Waterfield Road flat she says, “I have always wanted a sea-facing flat in Bandra. It’s been one of my dreams to own a flat overlooking the sea. Also I want something a bit more secluded and private.”

Salman states the record straight about Veer

Salman Khan’s Veer is his most ambitious film till date and the star is leaving no stone unturned to make it a success. Not many are aware that the story of the film is written by Salman himself. After the first look of the film has been out, there have been great positive reactions from all quarters but at the same time there have been some negative comments as well. Few people are commenting that it’s a cliché ridden film. Now coming to his film’s defense, Salman has given an elaborate reply.

“Veer, I think is the largest scale film ever made in the country and to pull it off was no mean feat. . One thing I can say is there is nothing cliché about this film! We began filming in August 2008 but prior to that, to make a film of this scale, a lot of prep and research had to be done. A very detailed research of over 8 months on the period, language, behavior, culture etc has been done by Krishna Raghav to understand the accents, traditions, valor, attitude, history, music, architecture of that era.” Salman writes in his latest blog.

Salman further says, “The film has been extensively shot across Rajasthan (Rajasthan has its own ways of calling me back, it’s a karmic connection!) – Bikaner, Jaipur, Sambhar, Dulla and Jodhpur and all over England. The second schedule lasted 60 days, where the film was shot extensively across Rajasthan at prominent Locations like Mehrangarh fort (Jodhpur) and Ajmer fort (Jaipur). While talking about sets, I have to add the art director Sanjay Dhabade has done an excellent job. Sanjay and his team had a crucial job since the film boasted of extravagant sets covering over 400m at times and approximately 500 members of the art department worked at a time to erect various sets taking from 15–40 days to construct.

The action sequences involve 100s of fighters, 1,000 plus horses, 100s of elephant and camels, including huge sequences such as, a train robbery and a full fledged war on the battlefield with a combat between troops of warriors.”

Salman Skips Dad’s Birthday For The First Time

At the moment Salman is not happy with life at all. For the first time Salman Khan wasn’t able to attend his father’s birthday on November 24.This year Salim Saab turned 64, and the Khan parivar had planned to make it a grand celebration, what with Wanted being a huge money-spinner for Salman. Dad’s birthday and son’s success would’ve made for a grand bash at the Khans’ residence. Unfortunately Salman and Arbaaz are in Wai on the outskirts of Mumbai shooting for their home production Dabangg. And there was absolutely no way Salman could be allowed to return to Mumbai even for a few hours.

That left Salim Saab on his birthday with only son Sohail to keep him company.Says Sohail, “I guess I got lucky. I got Dad all for myself on his birthday. Much as Salman and Arbaaz would’ve liked to be with Dad there was no way they could leave the shooting in Wai and return on Tuesday for Dad’s birthday without disrupting the schedule. We were just three days into the shoot and it couldn’t be stopped.”While Salman seethed in Wai, Sohail drove back to Mumbai on Monday to bring in their father’s birthday and to convey Salman and Arbaaz’s best wishes to their father.Says a sentimental Sohail; “The whole family makes it a point to be together by hook or crook for our parent’s birthday.

Anyway, Dad believes work comes first. But Salman and Arbaaz are very unhappy about the situation.”The family is getting ready for the release of Veer on January 26.“That’s a big project for us,” says Sohail. “We’ve worked really hard on it. After Dabangg we want to start Partner 2. Everyone keeps telling us sequels ka zamana hai. Look how well the sequels to Golmaal have done! But until we’re sure that the script will take us beyond the first Partner we can’t go ahead.”The entire Partner team is working on the sequel’s storyline.

“All of us, Salman, Govinda, David Dhawan and I, have been told to work on an idea. We’ll go ahead with Partner 2 the minute one of us cracks the screenplay. Right now Partner is hot, and Salman Bhai is hotter,” says Sohail proudly.

Salman-Aishwarya love story on reel now

Small-time filmmaker Javed Khan is all set to make a film that is said to be based on one of the most talked about love stories in Bollywood — that of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai. The film titled Ajab Hai Ishq is gearing up to go on the floors soon. Javed Khan, who is producing the film and also playing the lead role of Salman Khan in the film, says, “If a love story is depicted authentically and emotionally, the film will surely attract the audience.

Ajab Hai Ishq is a love triangle. The story resembles the real life story of Ash and Sallu.”In real life, the two actors may have gone their separate ways, but Javed will show a different version. “I want to send home the message that if you love someone, you should get married to her or him. Leaving your loved one in the lurch will not bring peace in your life.”

Interestingly, singer Salamat, who recorded the title track of the film recently, had earlier sung the emotional number Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam from the Salman-Ash film by the same name.

SRK-Salman avoid each other on flight

On Saturday, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan flew back on the same flight from London to Mumbai. SRK was in UK for the last couple of days on some work and Salman had gone there to promote his latest film, London Dreams. While Salman was with his younger brother Sohail, SRK was by himself. When the Khan brothers walked in, Sohail (who, along with wife Seema, is on good terms with SRK and Gauri) went up to Shahrukh, they chatted for sometime after which he went and joined his brother.This was the third in the series of the jab-they-met encounters. The first time they were at the same place at the same time post their infamous feud was last year at Amrita Arora’s sangeet ceremony.The second was this year at Ramesh Taurani’s wedding anniversary bash. Other than that, the two actors have been going to great lengths to avoid bumping into each other.

So what happened when they came face-to-face with each other? Says an eyewitness, “Both Shahrukh and Salman boarded the flight without the slightest knowledge that both were going to share nine hours of airspace together! Shahrukh saw Sallu first. He appeared stunned, then he quietly went to his seat and sat down.”Both were seated a few seats away from each other but Salman was talking loudly and making sure that his dushman could overhear everything he was saying. Sallu was apparently in great spirits and kept behaving like a naughty child, reveals the source, “He kept pulling the airhostess’s legs and behaving as if he was ready to go and brawl it out with the other Khan.” After some reading, SRK went off to sleep. He didn’t wake up for his meal. He woke up only when it was time to land.Throughout the flight, it was obvious Shahrukh had decided to completely ignore Salman while he was itching for a fight.When Sallu saw SRK wasn’t reacting to his verbal salvos, he too went off to sleep.

“While deplaning, Sohail and SRK bid goodbye to each other. Salman and Shahrukh (who had walked ahead) again didn’t even look at each other.At the luggage unloading section, the two actors stood at two corners, picked up their respective luggage and strode off in two opposite directions — as if they couldn’t wait to get away from each other. Though the airline sources confirmed that both Salman and Shahrukh were on the same flight on Saturday they were tight-lipped about divulging further details on grounds of client confidentiality. Shahrukh and Salman remained unavailable for comment.

Aamir tried to restore peace between SRK and Salman

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has disclosed that he had tried to broker a peace deal between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan after their infamous spat last year. In an interview with a magazine Aamir said that he had gone to Shahrukh’s residence for the first time in his life to make him patch up with Salman. Aamir added that very early in his talks with the two he had realised that he wouldn’t succeed.

A dejected Aamir later became closer to Salman and the two of them are now taking on Shahrukh and his camp. Aamir recently walked the ramp for the first time for Salman’s charity Being Human. He concluded the interview saying that although he had tried his best and failed he hoped that the two superstars would patch up. He added that this is not just effecting their Bollywood careers but their personal lives too.

It may be recalled that during Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash last year Shahrukh Khan and Salman had a spat. The fallout of this was that the entire Bollywood became divided into two camps. Since then the two stars have regularly avoided each other at public events and tinsel town parties. They also haven’t missed any opportunity of taking digs at each other. It remains to be seen if any other celebrity can succeed where Aamir failed.

Salman avoids Shahrukh at Ghai's party

Subhash Ghai's wedding anniversary date (October 24) coincides with the date he launched his production company Mukta Arts (it turns 31 this year). The showman's annual bash was a star-studded one this year minus Salman Khan. Shahrukh Khan, Rishi and Randhir Kapoor, Riya Sen, Karan Johar, Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, Rohit Roy, Chunky Pandey and Salman's good friend Katrina Kaif were seen attending the party. Last year, Salman attended Ghai's wedding anniversary while Shah Rukh had stayed away.

Commenting on the absence of Salman Ghai says, "Though I had invited Salman, he couldn't attend because he was attending his uncle's (Salim Khan's brother) 50th birthday in Indore. Salman has always been very nice and respectful with me. He did Yuvvraaj with me at a time when my last film Kisna had flopped. In this industry, you are what you are according to your last film. I don't approach stars for their work but those who have worked with me like Jackie, Shahrukh, Madhuri, Meenakshi, Hrithik, Sanjay Dutt and Salman all become part of my family and they all treat me with love and affection. Though Priyanka and Aishwarya (flights got delayed) couldn't attend, Ash's mom Vrinda came and Priyanka sent me a sweet text saying she was out of town. I was surprised to get a huge bouquet from Madhuri (who's in the USA) while she personally called to wish me and my wife."


Commenting on his warm association with Shahrukh, Ghai says, "I had first met him when he had signed Dil Aashna Hai and had come to a party. Ramesh Sippy introduced us and as we shook hands, I could see the warmth in this boy. I told Ramesh that he was going to be a superstar and he had the right style and attitude for it even as a newcomer. Then I signed him for Trimurti. I was supposed to do Motherland with Shahrukh but the film got delayed because of his back problem and I went ahead with Kisna but the love I have for him will never change. He will always remain a family member and I hope to work with him sometime again soon."

Salman Khan’s outing with Asin

Expect the unexpected from Salman Khan. Kolkatans are going to have a whale of a time with Wanted actor very soon. He is going to celebrate the success of Wanted in Kolkata on 23rd October. But surprisingly, he is coming with Asin Thottumkal and not Ayesha Takia, the heroine of Wanted.The company that is marketing Wanted and London Dreams, decided to bring Salman to the city because the football match, which was supposed to take place at the Mohammedan Sporting Club on September 26, was cancelled due to security reasons.

The whole team of Wanted had to leave the playgrounds, after 40,000 fans went berserk.Salman is coming along with his London Dreams co-star Asin and the crowd is expected to touch 90,000. He will be dressed in tune with his character in London Dreams and perform along with dancers during the two-hour show. Ajay Devgn is also expected to turn up.It’s Kolkata dreams for the team of London Dreams.

Salman furious with Sohail after MAMK’s debacle

Apparently, Salman Khan is unhappy with his latest release Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, which has diluted the effect of his last hit, Wanted. The film directed by first-timer Prem Soni had a lukewarm opening at the box office and has been trashed by critics. Says an insider, “Last Friday, when Main Aurr Mrs Khanna released and opened to only 10 per cent collections, an infuriated Salman called over his brother Sohail (the film’s producer) and director Prem Soni to his home and asked them to explain the reason for the debacle.The source continues, ‘Salman told them that in the promotions, they’d projected him as the main lead, when he was actually in a supporting role and that said that his fans were feeling cheated.Salman has always been very clear about the expectations of his fans and he was hurt that this time his home production had sent out the wrong message.”

Salman also added that the film hadn’t shaped up like he’d been told. He told Prem too in no uncertain terms that he was very disappointed with his work.”The meeting called for by Salman, soon escalated into a full-scale argument between him and Sohail. So much so, that their dad Salim Khan had to intervene to sort it out. Of course, by the weekend, the two brothers sorted out their issues but there’s still a question mark for Prem’s film. Though Salman is very attached to his brothers and family, he feels he needs to do better films now and Sohail should have had more control over the script and editing.”The source adds that Salman also expressed concern over the next three films being made under his home banner – brother Arbaaz’s Dabaang, Atul and Alvira Agnihotri’s next which was being directed by Prem Soni and the sequel of Partner. He wanted to be sure that the scripts would turn outright.

Sohail Khan says, “There was no fight between Salman and me. Films are a part of our lives… there will be some ups and downs but most of them have been ups thank God.” The rumour is that Salman is not doing Prem Soni’s next produced by Atul Agnihotri. Sohail says, “It’s still in the scripting stage, let Prem finish it. Then I think things will move forward but Prem’s a sincere boy… and we will keep the association going.”When told that about Salman not wanting to work with him, Soni says, “I am not aware of this. I have not had any conversation on this with Salman at all after the film has released. As far as I know, he’s not upset with me. And he hasn’t told me that he’s not working in my next film.

Salman is one of the nicest human beings I know and not the kind to behave like this. He’s very upfront and straightforward and would have told me if he wasn’t.”

Salman gifts Kareena a bag worth Rs 250,000

Bollywood star Salman Khan went out of his way and gifted a branded bag worth Rs 250,000 to his Main Aurr Mrs Khanna co-star Kareena Kapoor.

Kareena and Salman went shopping together in Australia while they were shooting for the film and the young actress fell for a Dolce and Gabbana handbag.

"Kareena would usually land up shopping in the evenings after the shoot in Australia. She would go alone. But on one occasion, Salman accompanied her too," said a unit source.

"She instantly liked a Dolce and Gabbana bag, stepped in and bought it. When she was about to pay the storekeeper refused to take the money saying it had already been paid for. Kareena stood zapped and wondered who could be that generous soul. It was only later that she got to know that it was Salman who had paid," the source added.

The two actors play main leads in Prem Soni's directorial debut Main Aurr Mrs Khanna. Sohail Khan, who has co-produced the movie with UTV SpotBoy Pictures, is also starring in it.

The film is scheduled for release on Oct 16.

Salman warns Neil for calling Katrina Sweetheart

Neil Nitin Mukesh got a good bash from Salman Khan for addressing his girlfriend Katrina Kaif as sweetheart every time. Neil established a good rapport with Katrina Kaif during the shooting of “New York” and therefore formed a habit of calling her by sweetheart. By chance when Salman Khan got to hear this, as usual he turned furious and warned Neil to stay away from Katrina.
A source said, “Recently, Sallu had gone to the airport to pick up girlfriend Katrina Kaif. After he picked her up from the airport, he took her phone and suddenly dialed Neil’s number. Like he usually does while attending calls from friends, Neil picked up the phone and said, “Hello, sweetheart“. The moment Neil Nitin uttered those words, Salman immediately replied, ‘This is not your sweetheart’. Neil, who was taken aback instantly realized that it was Salman on the line and not Katrina”.
Interestingly, in spite of the fight, Salman Khan is going to play “Dus Ka Dum” with Neil and Katrina.

Bad days have indeed hit Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Days after rumours of their split comes something much uglier.

The webworld is flooded with a fake sex video featuring look-alikes of Salman and Katrina. The video, possibly made on a cell-phone originated in Canada, but it took no time for it to spread all over the world.

Reports say that now an MMS clip of the video is also doing the rounds.

Due to the uncanny resemblance of the people in the video to Salman and Katrina, the video was being pitched as an authentic one for quite a while, till some people watched it closely and figured out it was not actually the two Bollywood stars, but look-alikes.

Salman and Katrina have maintained a dignified silence over the issue and have decided to let it die its own death.

Salman-Katrina do coochie-coo in Public

A source says, “Katrina arrived on the sets at 4.30pm. She was dressed in a pair of white jeans and a green top. The surprising part is that she did not confine herself to Salman’s vanity van but accompanied him around the sets. She even gave some suggestions in between shots. Later, she also spent some time with Boney Kapoor, Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Arjun Kapoor. She was with Salman while he was having dinner.

Salman also lovingly fed her some dessert. It was 9.30pm when Salman took Katrina to her car. Katrina went directly to the airport as she was going to Malaysia to shoot for a shampoo ad.”

Director Boney Kapoor confirms Kat’s presence on the sets, she says, “Katrina had dinner with us and was on the sets until we packed up.”

Another on-the set source says, “Katrina had dinner with us and was on the sets until we packed up.”

“Salman and Katrina looked very comfortable together. She looked very happy to be with Salman.”

Will Rakhi make for a Good wife?

Salman Khan might be the brat of the film industry, and may have an iffy reputation as far as women are concerned. But he stood up for Rakhi Sawant on his show 10 Ka Dum, and Mika Singh was taken aback by Salman's interest in women's lip… er, lib.

A source from the sets said, "Daler Mehendi and Mika have been roped in for an episode of 10 Ka Dum. They were asked: how many people think that Rakhi Sawant can be a good wife? Salman asked his guests for their opinion. Mika, who has an ugly history with Rakhi, made faces and rude comments about her. Salman is known to stand up for women and told him that he should not make fun of her. Salman said that he is aware how hard Rakhi has worked to be where she is. He also said that he has tremendous respect for her.”Mika had the cheek to say that he agrees that she has worked hard, but she has become popular only because of him. Salman waved that statement aside and reasserted that she is a hard-working girl and deserves all her success. Finally, when Mika said that Rakhi is his friend, Salman laughed off his comment by saying that Mika is the biggest liar.

A spokesperson from the channel confirmed the incident.

Salman wins reality TV Show 'Dance India Dance'

After eighteen weeks of grueling hard work, Salman Khan, a 23-year-old from Bangalore, was announced the winner of Zee TV's dance reality show "Dance India Dance" at the grand finale that concluded here on Saturday night. Khan beat Mumbai-based Siddesh Pai and Alisha Singh from Ranchi to walk away with the winner's cap as well as a contract worth Rs.5 million with Zee TV. "I thank god, my mother and the audience for giving me so much love," Khan said after being announced the winner. The event, held at the sprawling Andheri Sports Complex, was a dazzling evening with livewire performances by the participants, judges as well as the host, TV actor Jay Bhanushali.
