Fardeen lives Feroz Khan's dream, buys papa's Dream car

While the world over, people are moving away from Sports Utility Vehicles, Fardeen Khan recently acquired a Buckingham Blue Land Rover (2.7 TDS V6 HSE).

The actor drove it down to Goa while shooting for All The Best. Fardeen says, "I drove to and back from Goa in it. There's nothing sturdier than a Land Rover. I have never owned a SUV before. Like all true blue boys, I love cars! I am getting to know my car and it's like a love affair. It was also one of my dad's favourite cars. He had always wanted to own one and I had thought I would go out, pick up one for him and we would go for a drive together but I guess it wasn't meant to be..."

Once bitten...
Last year, one of Fardeen's cars, a Mercedes 500, had got into trouble for not having the right paperwork. Fardeen says, "Once bitten twice shy. I had the Land Rover imported directly from the UK this time. All the right paperwork is in place for this one. I didn't realise how the car dealer had got the Merc but the EOW is doing its homework and investigating the matter. Hopefully, they will soon catch the people responsible for it."

Biker dude
Fardeen also owned a bike before but had to dispose of it because he couldn't ride it on the streets of Mumbai. "I love bikes and owned a Kawasaki ZZR 1200 but it makes no sense driving in Mumbai with the traffic pollution. One needs to enjoy the ride and lots of clean air to drive."

Fardeen Khan grieves the death of 15-year-old family Pooch

Fardeen Khan was in no position to face the camera yesterday. The actor, who is shooting in Goa for All The Best, did not can a single scene as he was extremely disturbed by the loss of his pet.

Tiger, the 15-year-old dog, passed away on Monday. He was very attached to the pooch, who had been an integral part of their household. Though they have other pets, Tiger, had a special place in their lives.It is learnt that Fardeen had bought home Tiger, a wounded stray, whom he then took to the vet for treatment. The pooch never left his side since.

Says a source, "Though Fardeen reported for the shoot, he just could not give it his best. Producer Ajay Devgan, though admittedly not a dog lover, understood Fardeen's grief and gave him the day off.

The dog had not been keeping well of late, and Fardeen had recently made a trip to Mumbai from the lengthy outdoor schedule to check on Tiger's failing health.

Adds the source, "On hearing about Tiger's demise, Fardeen sent his wife Natasha (who is accompanying him on the shoot) to give him a decent funeral."

Double sorrow

The source continues, "His sorrow has doubled. First Fardeen lost his dad, and now Tiger. He is still grieving for his dad. His pet's loss is another big blow to him."

The schedule ends at the end of the month, and Fardeen is dreading returning home without Tiger at the doorstep to greet him.
