Kim Sharma calls off her engagement

Kim Sharma, who was gearing up to marry her Spanish boyfriend Carlos Marin and move to Madrid, has called off her engagement. She is now dating Rock On!! director, Abhishek Kapoor. She has now clearly said that she isn’t getting married in February 2010.

The couple has been seen together at several coffee shops, nightclubs and restaurants. According to sources, they spend most of their time either talking to each other over the phone or text messaging each other.Abhishek and Kim have both had affairs in the past.

Abhishek was rumoured to be seeing many actresses and Kim was in a relationship with Yuvraj Singh for four years.Kim continues to remain tight-lipped about her new relationship but Abhishek has said that he is just a close friend of Kim.

Has Yuvraj Singh continued remaining a foot loose single dude after his break up with Deepika Padukone or has he gone back to his ex girlfriend Kim Sharma for good is the question on everyone’s mind whoever have seen the couple hitting Mumbai’s hottest spots together. Our source spotted them just days back at a Mumbai café.
He recalls, “Yuvraj Singh drove his car around the popular suburban Mumbai cafe a few times before him stepping out and entering it. He then entered the cafe only a couple of minutes before his on-and-off girlfriend Kim arrived in a chauffeur-driven car. The two were seen chatting over endless cups of coffee. While they seemed quite comfortable with each other, onlookers sensed that the two were consciously maintaining a distance from each other.”
Our source continues, “It looked like the couple was consciously trying to be discreet in public, so they stayed at an arm’s length from each other. When it was time to leave however, Yuvi held Kim’s hand and walked her to his car and took her on a drive, while Kim’s car followed them around.”

Of late, the ex-flames have constantly been in touch with each other via SMSes and phone calls.

Says a source close to Yuvi, "He is keen to have Kim back in his life. He feels she is the right person for him. As a result, he first took the initiative to get in touch with her again by sending her a text message over a month back. Though the actress was first apprehensive, she gradually realised Singh's deep concern for her and it took her a while to reply."

As they got talking again, the all-rounder extended her an invitation to visit South Africa to catch up with the Indian Premier League matches. He was also keen that she be present for Cricket Beyond Boundaries a charity event he hosted in Cape Town last night. It was a fundraiser for orphans and other causes. Apart from his Punjab XI team which includes co-owner Preity Zinta other IPL players were also expected to attend.

Yuvi and Kim were a couple about four years ago. Though they were serious about each other then and there was also talk of marriage, buzz was that Yuvi's mother Shabnam did not approve of having an actress bahu. For a while, they kept the relationship alive, until Kim finally called it quits. Buzz is that the cricketer pursued her even after they broke off with SMSes, to which she paid no heed.

Yuvraj was briefly linked with Deepika Padukone last year while Kim was often spotted in the company of Israeli diplomat, Oren Gahaly. There have also been rumours of Yuvi being close to Preity Zinta, co-owner, Kings XI Punjab.

Making it work

Adds the source, "Yuvi could never outgrow Kim. He has always admitted that she made him aware of the hows and whys of B-Town and the party circuit. He's tried to woo her back several times in the last few months, but she kept away. This is his effort to make things work out between them yet again."

Adds the source, "Yuvraj's mother has also given the green signal to her son renewing his relationship with Kim. She is keen that her son settle down now. Yuvi is hoping Kim and he spend time together and hopefully, that the sparks fly again.
