Claudia Piggybacked on Sunil Shetty !

Claudia Ciesla, the hot model from Germany who’s gradually becoming a household name in India with her ongoing stint on ‘Bigg Boss 3’, found the formidable back of the iron man Sunil Shetty to hop on when the latter entered the Bigg Boss’s house on Wednesday to promote the comedy film De Dana Dan along with co-stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia.

Katrina Kaif, the film’s leading lady couldn’t make it because she’s down with jaundice.

While an exuberant Claudia piggybacked on Sunil Shetty, Kamaal Khan hung himself, rather uncomfortably, on the back of Sameera Reddy.

The stars of ‘De Dana Dan’ bonded with all the inmates of Bigg Boss. Akshay Kumar even took personalized letters written by the inmates for their families outside. Initially, the star was supposed to take the letter of just one lucky winner, but, according to sources, Akshay changed his mind when he met the inmates and took letters from everyone.

The visit was a nice way to promote the film and also bring cheer to the folks cooped up inside the Bigg Boss’s house since many weeks. Advertisement

Suniel Shetty’s watery business

The businessman in Suniel Shetty has resurfaced and the actor-producer today is on major expansion plans. Talking about it, Sunil says, “I am re-working my water resort H2O on a larger scale and am trying to open the restaurant which closed down 10 months ago. This year, we had the international jet skiing championships. It’s been exciting reviving the whole thing. We are revamping the entire space and introducing new water sports like wind surfing, water skiing, parasailing and all kind of water sports from all over the world. I want H2O to be on the international map of water sports and promote tourism in a big way.”

Sunil’s water sports resort has 80 fishermen working with it as certified lifeguards. “Last year, was a bit of a setback when the restaurant closed down but people who indulge in water sports need to eat too so I am getting Salt Water Grill to open too. I am working with the government to apply for permissions. It’s a new chapter today. It’s a project that’s close to my heart.

Mumbai has such a big coastline — with proper planning, we can make it the numero uno destination for water sports. I love water sports and I want people from all the world coming in to enjoy what India has to offer in water sports.”

Suniel Shetty finds Akshay Kumar irritating

Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal created comedy history with Hera Pheri in 2000. The sequel in 2006 was not as successful or even funny, as it wasn’t directed by Priyadarshan. The foursome is back with an out-and-out entertainer in the form of De Dana Dan. Actor Suniel Shetty talks about his co-stars. Suniel loves Akshay Kumar to death, but hates how cheeky and naughty the superstar is. ‘Akshay is a natural talent and very spontaneous with his scenes. He is super energetic all the time and loves playing pranks and making people laugh. He is very hyper, and that is why he irritates me. I take time with my scenes. I learn my lines and get the grammar right, and then Akshay does some antic which makes me go blank when I have to say them and I burst out laughing!,’ recalls Sunil.

He adds, ‘Akshay also has the bad habit of taking people’s mobile phones and sending messages to random people. This created a lot of confusion, and now, we all keep our phones safe, out of Akki’s reach. He is a mischievous child at heart and that is why we love him,’ smiles Shetty.About Paresh Rawal, ‘Where do I begin to praise him? He is a legendary talent and an effortless actor who can do it all. His zeal, zest and dedication are inspiring, and he is a very simple and humble man at heart. I am so much in awe of him that when I see him acting, I forget my cue, because his performance leaves you speechless,’ he says fondly.

About De Dana Dan, Suniel says, ‘It is a fun film that will leave everyone in splits. Watch the movie expecting to be entertained, and you will not be disappointed.’
