Akshay-Twinkle skip the unbuttoning act

Last time there was a big controversy when he got his wife Twinkle Khanna to unbutton his jeans on the ramp. But this time Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar ensured that the same mistake was not repeated.This time he sashayed down the ramp for Salman Khan’s “Being Human” show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here Tuesday. Dressed casually in slim fit jeans and a smart jacket with aviator glares, Akshay stopped on the ramp, posed in front of her and smilingly cautioned her not to unbutton his jeans again.

“I didn’t know that the gesture would create such an uproar. I don’t want to go to jail again, so no such retakes for that shot,” a smiling Twinkle told IANS.In April, Akshay had got Twinkle to unbutton his jeans for a fashion show when he walked the ramp as a brand ambassador. The act had put the couple in trouble – Akshay was summoned by police while his wife had to spend a few hours in jail. Twinkle, an actress-turned-interior designer, was later released on bail.

Twinkle won the man, but has she been able to get over her rivalry with his exes? Raveena Tandon was Akshay Kumar’s girlfriend before he set his eyes on Twinkle Khanna, and before her he was all gaga over Shilpa Shetty. But the beautiful ladies are far from comfortable in each other’s presence even after so many years. On the special day in India Couture Week, when Akshay was to walk the ramp for Salman Khan’s ‘Being Human’ show, both the ladies were there.

The ladies reached the venue almost at the same time. But Mrs Akki tripped past her rival in the twinkle of an eye! While Twinkle basked in the attention of shutterbugs, Raveena made her breathtaking entry. Not wishing to let their encounter be trapped on lenses, Raveena vanished among the celebs and instead took another route.

Raveena went around meeting her friends and discussing her party plan for Diwali. And yes, she did have her own share of shutterbugs following her!

I am too shy to walk the ramp: Twinkle Khanna

Both her mother Dimple Kapadia and hubby Akshay Kumar have sashayed down the ramp numerous times but Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna says that she is too shy to do it.”I am too shy to walk the ramp. I am not at all interested. All I like is to sit back and watch Akshay, my mom or my friends doing the honour.

You will never see me walking the ramp,” said Twinkle at the inaugural show of HDIL India Couture Week that started on Monday.”I am happy as an interior designer and that is something I am best at. I would like to stick to it,” she added.

Dressed in a fuchsia short dress, Twinkle looked gorgeous. Her presence at the event was due to her jewellery designer friend Farah Khan.”I am here to cheer for her. She is a friend and an excellent jewellery designer as well,” Twinkle said.
