Will Shamita be out of Bigg Boss?

Shilpa Shetty’s younger sister Shamita may be out of the most controversial house on the small screen.Reportedly, Shilpa’s wedding date has been sealed for the end of November and she as well as fiancé Raj Kundra want to ensure that Shamita is part of the celebrations.Unlike the mega engagement bash, which Shamita missed out due to her stay in Bigg Boss house, Shilpa doesn’t want sister to be absent from the wedding gala as well.

Plans are in place to seek an untimely and early ouster for Shamita from the reality show Bigg Boss, season 3.Shilpa, who hosted the second season of the reality show, has approached the channel to evict her sister in time for the wedding and a meeting between the two parties is on the cards this weekend.But the channel bosses are still thinking as to how the rules can be bent to get Shamita out of the Bigg Boss house.

Shamita unlikely to attend Shilpa’s wedding

There’s chance that Shamita may not be able to attend her sister’s wedding. According to highly-placed sources at Colors, there seems to be no provision to get a contestant out of a game show for a wedding. Hard as it may be to believe, Shilpa Shetty’s kid-sister now locked away in Bigg Boss 3, is oblivious of the momentous developments in her star-sister’s life.Says a highly-placed Colors source, “Shamita has not been told anything about Shilpa’s engagement or the marriage in the last week of November. As far as Shamita knows the marriage was supposed to happen in December after the show was over.”Now that Shilpa has approached the channel to evict her sister in time for the wedding- and a meeting between the two parties is on the cards this weekend – the channel bosses are at a loss as to how the rules can be bent to get Shamita out of the Bigg Boss house.

Says the source, “There’s a provision for a house-mate to be brought out in case of an extreme emergency. It happened with Jade Goody last year. But does a sister’s unscheduled wedding qualify as a family crisis? We’re now wondering if the same rule as Jade can be applied to Shamita’s case.”The international Big Brother rules are being consulted. If there’s no provision for a contestant to leave the game for a family wedding, then Shamita Shetty may not get the permission to leave Bigg Boss house for the wedding!This however seems improbable, considering Shilpa’s old relations with the reality show. (She was contestant on Bigg Brother and hosted Bigg Boss 2).Says the source from Colors, “After meeting Shilpa this weekend we’ll work out a strategy on Shamita’s eviction.” According to plans if rules apply, Shamita’s eviction will be done live.

“If an unexpected turn of events helps us boost our TRPs we’re certainly not shy of putting it on camera. We did with Jade Goody. We’ll do it with Shamita.”The pop philosopher of the show Amitabh Bachchan is expected to do the needful. He will be breaking the news of Shilpa’s engagement and impending marriage to Shamita.“The rest is up to Shamita. Once we’re sure she can be evicted whether she decides to come out or stay in the House is entirely her decision,” ends the channel source.

Shamita Likes Dhoni!

Shamita, as you might have seen on television, has accompanied elder sister Shilpa and her beau Raj Kundra — owners of Team Rajasthan, to South Africa for the IPL. From where reports came faster than sixes of Warne showing more than a healthy interest in the boss woman’s kid sis.

Some stories had the two cosying up at a party that Shilpa had thrown after a victorious match. Warne, who is notorious for his roving eye, was naturally unavailable for comment. But Shamita was not amused by the rumours.

“I don’t know where the press is getting this from but it really needs to get the facts right. Honestly, it’s the funniest bit of news I’ve heard in a long time,” said Shamita who doesn’t interact with the team and has barely met Warne thrice.

The story goes that Warne, whose wife Simone Callahan reportedly left him as a result of his womanising, had first hit on Shilpa herself. But since the elder sister was already betrothed to Raj Kundra, the captain of her team turned his attention to younger sister Shamita. Funnily, when BT was doing a Valentine Day’s story with the couple earlier this year, Raj had jokingly remarked, “I’d better propose to Shilpa before the T20 matches or else Shane Warne might try his luck!”

His failure with the Shetty girls has not done anything to spoil Shane Warne’s reputation as a world class cricketer in Shamita’s eyes. The twinkling-eyed Aussie still remains her “fave” player. But she adores Pathan. “Have you seen him get ready for a six? He’s got an amazing style,” she said. And then there’s also Dhoni, who is from the Chennai team, but still another favourite of the sultry actress. “I’m having fun,” she said, “from a non-cricketing fan, I’ve turned into a cricket enthusiast overnight.” Warne notwithstanding.
