Shilpa's wedding dress copied from Aishwarya!

There is a belief that Bollywood actresses make sure not to dress similar to their counterparts. But Shilpa Shetty did it just the other way while tying the knot with Raj Kundra. Believe it or not Shilpa's wedding attire was an inch by inch copy of Aishwarya Bachchan's wedding dress two years ago. What's more surprising is that Shilpa did not even spare Aishwarya's jewellery and took inspiration from there as well.

Shilpa Shetty looked stunning in a red designer lehenga-saree but a close look at her reminded us of Aishwarya two years ago. Like Aishwarya who had sported a Kundan to go with her golden saree on her D-Day, Shilpa too wore a Kundan with her red saree. Even her hair was done taking inspiration from Aishwarya Bachchan. Seems like Miss Worlds can any day inspire the Big Brother winners to take a cue from them.

Wedding bells for Shilpa, Raj today

The much-awaited marriage of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her long time beau Raj Kundra is going to take place today evening. The whole nuptial tie ceremony is expected be one of the most happening events in the film industry.According to the reports Bollywood’s who’s who are expected to be in attendance in Lonavala, a place in Mumbai, where the marriage will take place. Before the marriage, it was her wedding card, which created a buzz for it’s look and content. Both Shilpa and Raj want to have a royal marriage so they insisted that their wedding card should reflect the same.Well knonwn designer Tarun Tahiliani is the man who will dress up Shilpa for this royal marriage. He has designed a special wedding gown for her.

Her beau Raj Kundra has chosen to wear creations by Shantanu and Nikhil.In fact Shilpa expressed her feelings to her fans by writing on her blogs just sometimes back. She wrote, “To all those who want to know how I am feeling, I just want to say I’m going through a lot of mixed feelings – happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well. “Both Shilpa and Raj have been dating since 2007 and Shilpa termed her marriage as a very significant moment in her life.”Honestly it still hasn’t sunk in completely, it’s a strange emotion, can’t describe it The only consolation is that I’m tying the knot with Raj – a man who lets me be myself and doesn’t want me or my life to change and that erases premarital jitters, ” she wrtoe.

But Shilpa tried to overcome all her nervousness in the Sangeet ceremony, which was held in Khandala on Saturday. She herself danced on a Bollywood number from the film ‘Chandni’.

Shilpa smitten by Wild life beauty in SA

Shilpa Shetty might have failed to lift the IPL2 trophy but she returned back from South Africa with some sweet experiences and memories which she will treasured throughout her life. She is totally smitten by the wild life beauty in SA.

In her blog, Shilpa gave a brief description of her trip to South Africa, she wrote, "I did a safari in Singita, a thrilling hot air balloon trip, went to the lion park and actually played with the cubs, something unusual. It was amazing to see a wild animal in such a vulnerable playful state”.

"I fed ostriches and got pecked by one! And also fed a giraffe, they have the longest purple tongues, wrapped it around my hand, leaving its saliva all over it, eeow! But what fun”.

Shilpa, Katrina to Crown Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa

Johannesburg: Bollywood actresses Shilpa Shetty and Katrina Kaif will help decide which of 16 South African hopefuls follow in their footsteps when the Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa is crowned at the prestigious Montecasino entertainment complex here Saturday evening.



Shilpa and Katrina will join former Miss Universe Michelle McLean and former Miss South Africa Joanne Strauss, now a TV presenter, as the finalists vie for a prize package that could also feature an audition for a Bollywood role.


Providing a gender balance to the panel of celebrity judges will be Fashion TV owner Michele Adam and Francois Pienaar, who led the South African side to victory in the Rugby World Cup some years ago. Pienaar has also played an instrumental role in the marketing campaign that made the Indian Premier League (IPL) so popular in South Africa for the past five weeks.


The 16 finalists were chosen by Internet votes and include models, actresses, professionals and students. They were chosen from the 48 who were selected from the crowds at each of the IPL games played across the country.


The prize package includes a cash prize of 50,000 rands, a trip to India, and a guided tour of Bollywood, including the possibility of an audition there.

Shilpa's hot cover act For Grazia
