Vivek Oberoi comes in good terms with Big B

The year 2010 seems to have promised to mend the sour relationships of the celebs. Vivek Oberoi, who was seen on channels and newspaper saying that he has mended his relationships, seems to have been accepted by the Bachchan family. At one of the Bollywood functions held Friday, Vivek was seen seating behind Amitabh and wife Jaya Bachchan.Though the party pictures suggested that Vivek was comfortably talking to them but Abhi-Ash and Vivek appeared sharing cold relation again.

Lately, we heard the news that at one of the events in December, Ash and Vivek seats were next to each other and they totally unnoticed each other. So, it is quite evident that Big B and Vivek might have come closed but Ash-Abhi are still a long distance away with Vivek. And it almost seems impossible. What you think guys?

Vivek bumps into his ex, Grace and the Yuvraj in Goa!

Yuvraj Singh is apparently dating actor Vivek Oberoi's ex-girlfriend Grace. And last week, the actor even bumped into them in Goa.

Grace is from South Africa. She's a professional surfing trainer and brand ambassador for sportswear manufacturer, Billabong. She met Vivek last year when he had gone surfing while shooting in SA for Prince of Thieves. She has even met the actor's family.
commitment. She loved him and wanted a marriage but VO felt he wasn't ready or as emotionally involved as her. She left South Africa (where she lives) to be with Vivek and was willing to change her lifestyle for him. But VO wasn't looking for a serious relationship then so they parted ways," adds the source.

Since then, Grace has moved on. "Yuvraj was seen last week in Goa with friends but was seen being very protective about Grace. He was seen introducing her as his fiancée. Apparently, Yuvi has even introduced her to his mother and she dotes on Yuvraj's girlfriend. Their family astrologer says the girl will bring good luck to Yuvi's cricketing career," says the source.

Reveals the source, "Yuvi and Grace were partying at a night club when they met Vivek. When VO came to know that the two were planning to tie the knot, he wished them well. After that, Grace spoke to Vivek a couple of times."

Yuvraj Singh's manager, Ambika Chauhan says, "It's not true that Yuvraj and Grace are dating each other. We were all hanging out in a group -- Bunty Sajdeh (Ambika's husband), Grace and Yuvi along with a few others. Yuvraj and Grace are just good friends.

Vivek getting his due?

A few days back, Vivek Oberoi was woken up at 6 in the morning with an SMS. It was a text message from his Kurbaan co-star Saif Ali Khan, praising Vivek Oberoi him for his work in the film.

"I’ve craved for this kind of appreciation,” admits Vivek candidly, “I wanted people to see me for my work and not have a coloured perspective because of whatever’s transpired in the past.”
The actor’s gone through his share of trouble, both personally and professionally. “One thing I’ve learnt is that it’s easier to deal with failure than to deal with success. If you don’t know what to do with success, then you lose the plot. Success had gone to my head. I was surrounded by people who kept pushing me in the wrong direction and I kept going there, and when it finally hit me, I was like, how did this happen?

Those four-five years were just a blur, then to understand and recover from that took time,” he says, wisened from the experience.

But yes, there were times when he was completely down in the dumps too. “There was a time when I felt that everything I did was going to backfire. It was difficult to keep my sense of reason or humour at a time like that. One day, I was really upset and my mom asked me what’s wrong. I said I just feel completely lost — there was so much professional and personal upheaval. Then she pulled out a copy of one of my first interviews during Company and said ‘start here’. I read that and realised this is what I was,” he recounts.

The journey to recover started with Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara and life seems to have taken a turn for the better since then. His performance in Kurbaan has been appreciated and the actor’s looking forward to Prince — It’s Showtime, where he plays a slick, stylish thief and his mentor Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra.

Vivek realises he has been given a second lease in his career. “I think in my seven years, something I have realised pretty late is the value of opportunity. What stands between me and a lot of talented actors is a platform that Mr Varma gave me, and the second time around, I got it with Kurbaan. Then I’ve got Kumar Taurani backing me with a big film and it’s a dream to be working with my mentor Ramu again,” he says.

The smile on his face says it all when he adds, “I’ve realised the whole idea of carrying grudges, negativity, anger, hatred and enmity just bogs you down. I’m at peace now. When I started out, it was more of a high, right now, I’m humbled.” So Vivek’s finally grown up? He’s quick to answer, “I’ve a better understanding of who I am now.” That’s more than what most would say.

Vivek Oberoi caught between three hotties

Togged up in a sleeveless leather jacket, his hair gelled and his goggled face exuding a newfound confidence, Vivek Oberoi is all set for a career resurrection in his upcoming film Prince - Its Showtime.

The movie has Vivek playing a spy who’s stuck in a cobweb of confusion because of his random memory loss. He dates three hot girls, and each of them tells him that she’s his ‘Maya’.

Vivek is caught between three babes - Nandana Sen, Aruna Shields and Neeru Singh in ‘Prince’. Aruna is an actress from UK and she’s modeled for various brands and done a few films there. Neeru is from apna Punjab. She’s acted in a few Punjabi films but is now set to grab eyeballs with her steamy act in ‘Prince’.

Producer Kumar Taurani reveals that the film has oodles of oomph, thanks to the bikini acts by the three hotties.

“It (the film) has a very intriguing plot and, of course, bikini-clad women who are more than just eye-candy,” Kumar is quoted to have said.

Taurani is confident that the movie will give a new lease of life to the sagged career of Vivek, who’ll be seen doing incredible stunts like fighting on trains, planes and even hanging mid-air.

We’ll see that when the film releases early next year.

Is Karan saviour of Viveik’s movie career?

Actor Viveik Oberoi, who delivered a wonderful performance in Kurbaan, is back with a bang. He is getting all the attention for his latest avatar in the movie. It is said that behind every successful man is a woman, but in Viveik’s case behind his success this time there certainly seems to be the hand of Karan Johar.
The world turned its back on Viveik and he had no friends in Bollywood until Shah Rukh Khan’s friend Karan stood by him. It raises a thought whether SRK is supporting Viveik?Karan has always stood by Viveik, no matter what.
Speculations aside, it is still good to be friends with a sugar daddy like Karan since this association has blessed Viveik in abundance.Karan thus becomes the saviour of Viveik’s movie career.

Vivek Oberoi’s dream girl is Kareena Kapoor

After being dumped by Aishwarya Bachchan you would expect Vivek Oberoi to be grounded but the Saathiya star is far away from that. During a recent promotional event for his upcoming movie Kurbaan, Vivek was asked about his dream woman.

Vivek didn’t waste any time to think and said Kareena Kapoor his co-star in Kurbaan. Incidentally Kareena’s royal beau Saif Ali Khan who also stars in the movie was present at the event and said that there was only one Kareena and she was dating him.

Seems like the possessive Saif wanted to give a fitting reply to a flirty Vivek. Our advice to Vivek would be to stay away from all this at a time when his career is seeing chances of revival!

Saif-Kareena’s royal ignore to Vivek Oberoi!

With the sizzling and steamy promos of ‘Kurbaan’ showcasing the intimate chemistry between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, buzz has it that Vivek Oberoi, who plays a crucial role in the flick, has been completely sidelined by Saifeena. According to the latest Bollywood news, ever since the promos of ‘Kurbaan’ have hit the stands, all one finds is the striking on-screen chemistry between the real-life couple whereas the character of Vivek is totally ignored.

However, with the down and out actor totally forgotten from the promotional rushes, it seems Vivek is quite upset but has passively accepted his fate of not being a B-town hot celebrity in comparison to the popular Bollywood couple ‘Saifeena’. Well, whatever may be the reason; one thing is for sure that the actor knows the fact that a good film can give a new lease of life to his sagging fortunes in Bollywood.

Is Vivek Oberoi in a threesome?

Vivek’s romance with Ash ended on a sour note and he was so embarrassed that he didn’t know where to hide his face! After that he was in rebound mode and was linked with a string of beauties in his quest to get over his former girl. It looks like he has found a new love. The lady in question is TV actress Neeru Bajwa. Audiences might remember her as the ‘other woman’ in Astitva who shattered Niki Aneja and Varun Badola’s marriage on screen. The Canadian import was then seen in Nach Baliye 2 with then boyfriend Amit Sadh and in a TV show called Guns ‘n’ Roses. She also made a mark in Punjabi movies. After Nach Baliye 2, she was nowhere to be seen. Neeru is Vivek’s co-star in Tips’ Prince: It’s Showtime.

A source tells us that earlier she had a small role which has now expanded to a full-fledged role with songs and scenes, thanks to the way she charmed both the director (Kookie Gulati) and actor. This seems like a situation straight out of Eddie Murphy starrer Bowfinger (1999). He adds that Neeru and Vivek hung out together at editor Arif Sheikh’s wedding in January and thereafter at Ramesh Taurani’s birthday party in July. They also meet up for coffee, lunch, dinner and movies regularly. Neeru is also on chummy terms with director Kookie Gulati. All this has ensured that she will be noticed in her Bollywood debut.

After his break-up with Ash, Vivek has been linked with Jacqueline Fernandez (it has been rumoured that he recommended her to director Sujoy Ghosh for Aladin), Minissha Lamba, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Shweta Bhardwaj and a South African hottie named Grace. When contacted Neeru Bajwa took the whole link-up as a joke and said that she hopes Vivek still finds her beautiful and that he was great, fun co-star who helped her get over her anxieties as it was her first Hindi film. She maintained that she was ‘good friends’ with Vivek and Kookie.Don’t we all know the connotation that the oft-used phrase ‘ we are all good friends’ has in Bollywood?

Vivek gets back on Abhishek

Well looks like Vivek Oberoi finally got back on Abhishek Bachchan for stealing Aishwarya from him by getting him out of Ram Gopal’s next venture. He coaxed Ramu to drop Abhishek & take him for Rakta Chitra. Earlier it was thought that this change had happened due to Vivek’s patch up with Ram Gopal Verma. But the real truth behind the change has been Vivek’s right timing & smartness. Abhi was RGV’s first choice for the role, which later passed onto Vivek. Varma had discussed the storyline with Junior Bachchan.

Even Amitabh Bachchan was very upbeat about the film.Ramu was ready to negotiate the deal with AB baby. However, Abhishek was not keen to be in. Which in present circumstances is quite a wise action seeing the way Ramu’s film bomb at the Box office. He has even crossed the hatrick record of flops. The refusal was partly due to the script which didn’t excite him and partly due to Ramu’s refusal to watch Dostana even when he was personally invited by Abhi.

Meanwhile, Vicky desperately searching for a proper comeback found it a perfect opportunity to bang on the target as Abhi was dilly-dallying the project, Vivek coaxed RGV to cast him as the one. Thus Vivek stole the role from Abhi.

Saif-Vivek Arrested...

Saif Ali Khan and Vivek Oberoi ran into trouble with some policemen while shooting for Rensil D'Silva's film Qurbaan in New York. Both the actors were almost arrested while shooting for the film.

A source said, "Vivek and Saif were shooting in a hilly region in New York. It was a scene where both the actors had to drive a car and the camera was placed quite far as it was a long shot. The actors kept driving for a long time as they were required to give various takes as the scene was being shot from

several angles. However, the locals, who had no clue that a film shoot was on, started getting suspicious when they saw the two Indians driving around aimlessly. They wasted no time in calling the cops who immediately came and started questioning Vivek and Saif.”

Vivek and Saif told the policemen they were actors from India and were shooting for a film. However, the cops refused to believe them. Much to the frustration of the two actors, the cops flatly refused to believe that a shooting was on as there were no crew member or camera nearby.

“Even though the production team saw what was happening on their monitors, and one of them immediately rushed to help, it took him a good 10 minutes before he could reach the actors. By then the cops had almost arrested them on suspicion and were all set to take them to the police station. However, the unit member rescued the actors in the nick of time. The cops only let them go after all the necessary documents were shown,” added the source.

Kareena pressuring Vivek Oberoi to Get married

Vivek Oberoi, whose name is now being linked to sitar player Anoushka Shankar, says good friend Kareena Kapoor pesters him most to find a suitable match for himself and settle down soon.

"The pressure (of getting married) is on, not only from my family but from even Bebo (Kareena's pet name), " Vivek, who will be seen with Kareena and Saif in Rensil D'Silva's untitled film, told in an e-mail interview.

"Every time we go out for dinner, she would shake her head and tell me - 'find a nice girl and settle down' and I would hide behind Saif to dodge the bullet. We had some great laughs, " he said.

Vivek's personal life has always been in the spotlight - from the time his engagement to long-standing girlfriend Gurpreet Gill broke off to the short but much-hyped relationship with former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai. But now the actor is single.

He reasons his stag status by saying: "I'm single because I am waiting to find the girl who will make me want to never be single again."

His personal life apart, Vivek has his hands full with big banner movies like Ram Gopal Varma's "Rakta Charitra", Prakash Jha's "Rajniti" and Tips Films' "Prince" besides Rensil D'Silva's untitled romantic thriller.
Vivek is in no mood to assess his stint in Bollywood since his launch in Varma's "Company" in 2002 as he says he is still raring to go.

"When I retire, I will have enough time to sit back in a rocking chair and judge my career. Right now, it's time for me to grab every opportunity and give it my very best, " said Vivek, who was loved by audiences in films like "Saathiya" and "Yuva" as well.

The actor also spoke about the only mistake he thinks he made during his seven-year-old career.

"What went wrong in between was that I had forgotten why I came here...to be an actor...just that...Not all the trappings of stardom but just the pure fire of burning desire to act, " he said.

Now Vivek says he has set a goal for himself.

"Every day, in every way, I want to be better and better...that is my mission and my prayer, " he said.
So Vivek will be back with a bang after experiencing a series of ups and downs in his career.
